Yeah, the interviewer came off as a bit over the top, but I like Walker. He seems to be doing a lot in the community so I hope the team keeps him around.

Hes the one of the 3 young guys (pruitt, giddens and him) that i really want on the team.

He has the attitude to play at this level, humble off court and all in when he steps on the hardwood

i hope he can take the step into the rotation next year.

I like him saying that he needs to focus on using his athleticism to impact the game defensively and on the boards. I don't think he did that enough in his rookie year, hopefully he does it better next year if he sticks around.

Bill Walker's a great kid--we NEED to hold on to him. He's got all the things that separates the fringe player from the good player--he's humble, hard working, dedicated, team-centered, and willing to do whatever it takes to make himself and his team better.

I agree that mentally he's there. Last year his contributions consisted of dunks, hard fouls and the willingness not to force anything else, which wasn't anywhere near enough for what the team needed, but at least provides a base to build on. If he can hit a mid- or long-range jumper with consistency, play defense without fouling every time and grab a few more rebounds, then he could carve out a 10-15 minute role on the team on days when the top 3 wings play less. 5 or 6 points, a couple tough rebounds and some harassing defense, with the occasional hard foul, and you have a useful 4th or 5th wing who can step up some nights and swing the momentum.

^^^ Bill seems like an intelligent person. However I have yet to see that translate into sport smarts. In sports its about knowing what to do athletically in a given situation without really "thinking" about it. You drill your skills until moves and counters become "automatic." The problem with Bill last year is that he made a ton of dumb decisions.

His shoulders are so freaking wide. Dude should be a physical force if he can pull it all together and get some burn.

I still believe this guy could at least be a poor man's Ron Artest. We need to keep him over any of our other "prospects". He is an athletic freak and if he can put that to good use on D, with his energy we've seen already, he's going to be a force.

Other than build I don't really see the comparison with Artest. Ron's leaping ability is mediocre at best and is a more prolific jump-shooter, whereas Walker's a much more explosive leaper and looks to drive more.

Well when reffering to Ron, I mostly meant defensively. It's hard to say what Walker will amount to offensively because all anyone has really seen have been explosive dunks in garbage minutes for the most part. Hopefully he can work with Pierce a little. He has said he would like to model his game from Pierce in a draft interview (meaning before he even knew he would be a Celtic). A midrange game like Pierce's would do him wonders offensively.

What I like about him, he seems to be a good finisher and seems to have excellent body control around the rim, I feel like those are things you can't teach. Gerald Green was a leaper and all that, but he never seemed too have that kind of control. Of course, I liked him a lot and thought he'd be a very good shooter.
