Great news. You beat me to it. Very smart move by Baby because next year is going to be horrible for non star free agents.

I'm really glad. Bet it's for about 3M per. Love the way he bodies up the behemoths. We now have a very solid big rotation if this is true.

Feel kind of bad for him, but then his agent was the one who originally got him a short rookie contract. Two years is good for the team, he'll stay hungry playing for his next deal..

He's coming---just trying to get more money to him...and unload TA in the process.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem like that will happen.

Fantastic news.

I thought Baby was going to be way overpaid and gone.

But 2 years is fair for him to leave [and again our key time.. 2 years KG,Sheed,Pierce I think].

And I assume he'll be getting something around 3mil a year. Which I'd actually consider fair for the risk of Baby.

And who cares if we get Daniels via trade or the Bi?.

Adding daniels and then a vet 3rd string via the min. Or trading for Daniles and adding a vet 3rd string PG via the Bi-exception doesn't make much of a difference IMO.

this team is looking much better compared to last years. (If KG is healthy)

Rondo/House/Pruitt
Ray/Daniels/Allen
PP/Walker/Giddens
KG/Sheed/Williams
Perk/Baby/Scal

All Danny has to do is get rid of Pruitt and TA and sign a vet third string pg (Lue,Bobby Jackson)

I don't feel bad for twenty-somethings who make millions of dollars and get NBA Championship rings, but I'm kinda funny that way I guess.

What don't people understand about this? His agent did a great job on his first contract, the normal thing to do is take a two year minimum deal when you are a second round pick, I can see why guys take an extra year in exchange for some guaranteed money but it is bad idea beyond that first season. The risk in a 2 year deal is if you suck not if you are good. Davis is going to get a multi million dollar deal instead of $825,000 not guaranteed. Taking that extra year totally screwed Leon Powe. The guy left school early to be first round draft pick and has played himself into that check maybe into a lottery pick check.

I don't really like the idea of 2 year deal for Boston, I like Davis and think he is going to be a solid rotation player but his value to the team is going to be highest 3 years from now and then it will be contract time again.
