OT: Quentin Richardson traded again!

Miami acquires Quentin Richardson from Minnesota in exchange for Mark Blount. Blount will return to Minnesota after he previously was traded to Miami in 2007, and before that, Blount was traded to Minnesota from Boston in 2006.
Interesting trade for both teams. I take this as Minnesota must be committed to finally moving A. Jefferson to his natural position of power forward now having Hollins and Blount as their centers. But this could mean Love comes off the bench. For Miami, they add an offensive minded player who can be an outside threat. My question is: Is Richardson their small forward? Like Love, will Beasley now come off the bench.

Haha. You know Blount will hate going from the paradise of Miami to Minny. He'll probably start shooting 40 footers exclusively. Kahn must not know much about Blount. Didn't AL and Blount not exactly get along?

Why the hell would MInny trade him for BLOUNT? Ok..Quentin is a punk..and he isn't good...but for Blount?AGAIN? That's (Please Use More Appropriate Word)...makes sense for Miami..they trade the worse player in the league for a decent shooter of the bench, who happens to be good friends with Wade(That's what the plp on the heat board are saying)....Miami wins...
And oh..does this mean we start whupping the Heat now?Because we seem to always **** Q-Rich teams up...

My first thought was that you traded Blount but now have traded to reacquire him. Huh? Regardless, both players in this trade are expiring contracts, and Minnesota saves a couple of millions in the process. I think Hollins might start if they believe in him. They should trade Love for equal value at shooting guard or small forward. Jefferson needs help... Unless Flynn turns into a special player.

No, Pierce will have to listen to his mouth. He's back in the eastern conference. Somewhere, Pierce is muttering to himself, damn.

Miami will be an interesting team if they pickup Iverson. Which I understand they might.

Haha, Big Al hates Blount. This should be pretty interesting for Minni.
For Miami....meh, maybe they hated Blount that much as well. Isn't Q now basically "Q's contract"?

I'm reading Blount is to be waived.
That doesn't make too much sense to me. Why trade for a player to only pay and waive him. MIN might as well as held onto Q-bitch and use that expiring for a pick at the trade deadline.

Who cares as long as the Celtics don't pick him up. Seriously though, Mark Blount and Marcus Banks both got one big payday and then tanked their careers. What a waste.

Well, bye-bye Blount. That's a relief for Jefferson I would imagine.
Both players have expiring salaries, but the Wolves will save nearly $1.4 million by waiving Blount and his $7.96 million contract rather than dump Richardson’s $9.35 million contract.
By making this deal, it’s clear Kahn never intended having Richardson, who likely would have been a runaway gunner in his contract year, on this season’s team.
Kahn still could deal Blount’s contract in another deal, but it seems like waiving him outright is more likely.

I could see how a fan on the outside looking in at Houston can wonder: Man, they've it bad. No Yao, without McGrady for a significant amount of time and Artest signing with the Lakers. But Miami could've it worst if Wade decides to do more than test free agency next year. He and good friend Richardson might leave the Heat together. Probably, won't matter what kind of player Beasley turns out to be next season. Conversely, Houston can pickup the pieces with still having a solid team without the aforementioned players.
Miami should attempt to get Boozer or Bosh at some point before the trade deadline of next season if anything can be feasible financially for them to do so. That could be tough.
I wonder what Miami does if they don't make the playoffs.
