OT-Haywood rips Marbury..

Post#1 » by BRUNiNHO91 » Tue Aug 18, 2009 1:35 pm

Wizards center Brendan Haywood was entertained by Stephon Marbury's personal web cast at first, but the tide changed quickly.

"At first it was cool, but after a while it just became disturbing," Haywood said on Hardcore Sports Radio. "He's on YouTube crying with no shirt on for no reason, sweating while his boy's rubbing his shoulders. What's that about? That's like gay porn. I don't understand it.

"He's dancing to a song called 'Barbie Doll,' doing like stripper moves. I have no idea what's going on with the guy, it's almost like he's trying to end his own career. There's not a GM out there that would touch Marbury right now... Have you seen the 'Barbie Doll' clip? Click on YouTube and go to Barbie Doll. There's no way any other professional athletes would wanna get dressed around this guy, because you gotta think something is a little, he's swinging from both sides of the fence."

The whole pot smoking thing has ended any chance of anyone signing Marb's, sad as it really isn't the most concerning or bizarre thing that he did, but it is the thing that will demand a suspension from the Commish. He stated that because he doesn't have an NBA contract and he isn't driving a car he can and does smoke weed, somehow I think Mr. Stern is going to beg to differ.

That's a pretty sad attitude by Haywood. His kind homophobic paranoia has no place in modern sports.
The leaks are real...the news is fake.

Agreed. He really could have done without commenting on how no athlete wants to get dressed around a gay guy. Everything else would just be saying Marbury's off his deep end, which we already knew.

I guess Mr. Haywood did not follow the career of five time NBA champion Dennis Rodman.

Brendan probably meant that "At first it was cool, but after a while it just became disturbing(ly arousing)"

The start of a bromance.. the seed of love takes root in homophobic soil?

Some poor slob in the Players Union office drew the short straw and became Marbury's agent because he's too cheap to hire his own. You can just imagine the conversations between that person and Marbury after each of his incidents this summer. "Will you just shut the (beep) up, every time you act like a lunatic it makes it tougher to find you even a vet minimum job."

I think he's done in the NBA, he didn't show last year that his skills are at a high enough level to put up with the nonsense.

Haywood speaks for 99% of the people who kept track of what Marbury has been doing, including myself.

the homophobic stuff may not be too pc, but you know that the vast majority of nba players are thinking the exact same thing. marbs has turned himself into a freak show. nobody wants a guy like that on their team.

Yeah Haywood is right about the homophobic bit. Almost any more sports team still looks down on gays. That's not PC but the way it is. That being said if Marbury really was a gay guy who had come to terms with his orientation. He would play it low key - and likely get a fake g/f and such. The gay guys are usually someone you don't respect. They learned long ago that being a "girl" isn't really tolerated, IMHO.

The 'stripper moves' comment makes total sense now, although male stripper "moves" don't = homosexual. (admittedly I have the sound off, maybe that's part of the discomfort.) Looked like he was miming a heterosexual act, anyway.

Anyway, what's "gayer" than a bunch of dudes on the internet gossiping about the on-court and off-court behavior of athletic, fit young men? ("No homo")

The music for "Barbie Girl" was actually dubbed over. He was actually dancing to another song.

Not that it really matters. Guy just looks ridiculous in these videos. It's obvious he doesn't care if he ever plays in the NBA again..

Maybe Haywood should concentrate on his own pathetic career and (Please Use More Appropriate Word) skills before commenting on Steph...bizarre as he is, he's at least done something in the league other than suck royally...
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Idk about ya'll...but hey..crazy or not..pothead or not..**** or not..barbie or not..Stephon Marbury would still get a contract from me if I'm Danny...he is the best PG available for us..and I still think that with a full training camp/preseason, Steph can play some ball...idk if he wants it anymore..but if he does, than let's sign her..i mean him.. up... ;)

I totally disagree. Something is not right with Marbury. Why would you even want to bring him into the locker room again, when we are trying to win a title? Have you see his Utube videos? He is crying for no reason, talking about he told his mom that God loves him more than his mom. His is smoking weed on camera and spitting in the face of the NBA. He is a mental case at this point and needs some help.

People forget this guy is not the same player or person he was 3 years ago. He doesn't care any more. He has made his money. He just hope we can get back on track as a human being and not harm himself or his family.

Some people look at his latest videos, and online appearances, and say 'whoa..this dude is **** crazy'...me on the other hand, I think he is just one goofy ass dude...I see nothing wrong about the dance video, or the weed video...80% of NBA players smoke weed..it is what it is...of course you don't have to show the **** off to the world..but it's not that big of a deal. Just 4 months ago, he was playing for our team, and doing a good job..let's not forget game 5 against Orlando when he sparked our team to a 4th quarter comeback..so..did he really lose his mind in 4 months?Mhm...and like I said..I'd give him a contract, if he was willing to commit to winning with us..because talent wise he is the best thing for us out there...but then again..I'f I'm wrong, and he really has lost his mind, and has a mental problem..than of course I don't want him...

Bruninh091, after watching this, if you were a GM, would you want Marbury on our team?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2QEcadC_Rk

or this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2QEcadC_Rk

I believe in giving people chances, but come on. This is too much. The guy is crying for help. He doesn't need the NBA, he needs to get better mentally. Life is more important than a job.
