magic fan here. i come in peace i was just looking for the new bobcats uniforms when i stumbled upon this:


is that a new jersey you guys will be wearing or is it just a jersey for sale? i think it would look cool, but it isn't really a celtics kind of thing as you guys have had the same jersey's (basically) for your entire existence. what do you think?

It's bad enough the C's wear those atrocious black and green alternate unis as often as they do...there are some teams in all of sports who's unis are timeless and should never be tampered with:

The Celtics
The Yankees
The Red Sox (but they **** it up this year)
The Canadiens
The Bruins
The Colts
etc

They don't look that bad. They're basically the classic home look with the side panels. I kind of like them actually. Please don't hurt me. LOL..

I actually don't mind the black and green alt uni's. But the ones above, are not what I'd want to see on a daily bases. If we went to europe again, and used those, maybe; they have that international flair I suppose, but here, they look like ****.

Not bad actually...I'd make sure there was a big Shamrock on the sides of the shorts though.

That looks like a cheap, generic practice jersey.

I actually think the black/green unis aren't that bad, but you're right about how some teams just have classic jerseys that are timeless and should never be changed. The Celtics are definitely one of those.

Better than the black ones but don't like 'em. I like the old school BOSTON on the road greens and the St. Patrick Day gold trims but other than that this seems like a mistake.

Really, it's just a way to generate more revenue---maybe we could have afforded Powe if these came out last year.

Well, new ownership has approved a dance team, alternate unis, and a mascot. Can't say that I'm too surprised about unveiling a new uniform. Wyc and Co. need to generate revenues to pay off that luxury tax.

I just hope that this jersey is a home alternate. Keep the classic jerseys as our staple. Keep these alternates as Sunday jerseys.

weren't these posted last year? (if not it was a similar looking one) and it turned out to be fake? i think someone did the same thing with N.O.'s jerseys too.

So last year, when all of the new jerseys dropped, people were talking about how every team seemed to be adopting the same jersey style as the Mavs. i.e V-neck and side stripes

As a joke, I made that jersey in like 10 minutes, and posted it to RealGM. (The idea being that the celtics would never overhaul their jersey that much.) I never thought that it were turn up here a year later.... OP how did you find it?

These comments were pretty enjoyable though, and I'm surprised that people find it such a convincing design. What I did was swapped the blue of the Mavs for our green, and took a regular home KG jersey and pasted the text over the Mavs stuff.
