OT:Orlando signs Jason Williams....

I don't think I've EVER seen 2 more DESPERATE Teams than Orlando and Cleveland in the history of this league---They are just Signing ANYONE in a scramble to win a title---NONE of this will even matter, if the Celtics are healthy all year.

Sssshhh, we don't want a bunch of Magic and Cavs trolls in here.

But yeah, I think they've both made some quality signings, however some very questionable, "oh you're available? Here's a contract!! signings too. Cleveland and Orlando have made a run at every single player that has become available it seems.

Williams going to the Magic pretty much means the end of the PG hunt for the C's IMHO. No one available is going to unseat House and Daniels. I think we will sign a 4th wing like Pavlovic or Udoka, get the Daniels thing done and call it an offseason..

+1
Marbury > Williams
Wonder how much Williams has left in him, then again hes probably the 3rd pg so we wont see any bit of him unless Nelson or Johnson go down.

P2 is going to have a MVp type season this year. He will rock the whole league.

Oh it's a little too late for that......lol

Hopefully Marbury resigns....if he doesn't you can't tell me you wouldn't have wanted this guy backing up Rondo.

Ya, I think we could actually tell you that because I don't think Williams, at this point, possesses any more value on the basketball court than Quis Daniels or Eddie House. In fact, I bet Tony Allen would be more serviceable in the backcourt than Williams will be. Actually, I feel better about the Celtics chances if the Magic have to rely on Williams at all, especially against Boston because Rondo would really eat this dude for breakfast without thinking twice. Put KG-Sheed up front with Ray-Pierce on the wings and Rondo will make a mockery of the washed up Williams. The signing is essentially irrelevant.

Umm... Rondo won't be playing against Jason Williams. He will be playing our all-star point guard Jameer Nelson! Rondo's backup will be playing AJ and White Chocolate. btw Ray Allen is 34 and J-Will is 33. Allen still has it and Williams had a year of rest! It was a low risk signing ( Vet Min ) and possibly a high reward! We are not desperate we are building depth on our bench. If it doesn't work then whatever it was a low risk and we could trade him and our TPE at the deadline if it doesn't work out with J-Will.

What does Ray Allens age have anything to do with Williams?
Rest? More like rust. He's almost a non-factor, I can careless.

Patterns --

We've already won a championship. One of our signings (Marquis Daniels) was a guy your team was trying to pry away to boot. Please try again. On your board.

Celtics have gone out and addressed their needs. Depth in the frontcourt by going and getting the best F/C available on the market, and resigning a young talent. Not going out and signing anyone who can walk and has a familiar name to the vet min

Orlando and Cleveland are desperate because they tried to reach that point of the championship...? I like the moves all the three upper eschelon teams of the eastern conference but everyone is looking at the moves LA made... Wait a minute wouldnt u rather get younger with great talent than older like yall... Yall are the trolls and i dont care that yall blast me, yall mad that yall didnt get the players that the Cavs and Magic got... By the way... Ron Artest owns Paul Pierce and Kobe owns Ray Allen... also Gasol now is a better player than Kevin and I am a die hard KG fan... KG is declining and yall dont want to see LA in the finals... By the way who says yall come outta the east.. Yall still have no answer for LeBron and no one on yall roster can guard Shaq.. Also dont sleep on the Magic because Vince Carter will make everyone on there better especially Dwight... So dont count ya chickens before they hatch because if I was yall I would rather San Antonio or Denver... Im warning yall right now, you do not want LA cuz they will beat the living crap outta yall...

It's not desperation I'd say. Just remember that barring any fortuitous events, this guy will be in a suit for the most part. White Chocolate is no upgrade, but as a third stringer insurance, I could care less.

And again this morning, haha. I can't believe some of the "logic" that I've read here.

NO, Both teams are Desperate:

Cleveland, because they are doing anything and everything they can to convince LeBron to stay.

Orlando, because they know that their IDIOT MORON of a coach BLEW any chance they had in the Finals--by STUPIDLY bringing back J.Nelson--and screwing up the beautiful Playoff CHEMISTRY that the Magic had going (not to mention his horrible in-game coaching-letting Derek Fisher get off that 3 pointer)....Now, they're Desperate to get back to the Finals and try to actually WIN this time.

J Will? I'm pretty underwhelmed. I don't see it as desperation though, just more depth in case Jameer can't stay on the floor this year. As for Cleveland I do think they are a bit desperate to try and get a trophy while Lebron is still hanging around, it might be the best chance to convince him to stay.

LOL @ calling Van Gundy an 'idiot moron' of a coach.

Jameer was nowhere near his old form, but he was far from the reason the Magic blew that series. If Courtney Lee's layup fell in Game 2, if Dwight knocked down his Free Throws in Game 4, and if the Magic didn't miss so many wide open shots all series long, then this talk about SVG/Nelson costing them the title would be moot. It would've been unheard of.

The Magic aren't desperate! Desperate would be having 3 players, the coach, and the GM to go to Detroit on July 1 to get a free agent ( Rasheed Wallace) and show up at his doorstep at 12:01 and then take him out to dinner the next day! Thats desperate if you ask me. In fact Otis Smith took his time and got good deals. We aren't desperate just hungry.
