OT: From McHale to Rambis & Laimbeer

The Wolves just added Bill Laimbeer to assist Rambis. This is obviously meaningless but the 80's connection is just too extreme not to notice. Glen Taylor goes from being unusually loyal to old Kevin for over a decade then hires the two people he probably hated most during his playing days to replace him... too funny.

The Wolves were my 2nd favorite team the last couple of years, since the Big Al - KG trade, but it's impossible now. I was raised on 80's basketball (and cheeseburgers) -- I just can't root for a team led by Rambis and Laimbeer. Wow, Rambis and Laimbeer... Together. Like two cartoon villains from my childhood teaming up to mentor my favorite offensive PF in the league. Ugh.

Good call. Following the KG trade, the TWolves were my second favorite team because its roster resembled the JV Celtics. But now, its turning to the direction of Anti-Celtics. Big Al will still forever be the man but it must be tough for McHale to process this odd turn of events. I hope we sign him to Doc's staff, however unlikely.

This is just like Isiah following Bird in Indiana.

Hopefully they fail terribly and are replaced quickly and we can root for the T Wolves again.

Lambier deserved an NBA job, he did an excellent job in the wnba, give him 2-3 years as an assistant and he will be a solid head coach.

The only way this could get worse is if Magic joined them on the bench. The T-Wolves were my second favorite team but I'm done until Lambeer and Rambis are gone. I still wish Big Al the best. In this case, a trade back to the C's ... lol

I know, I know ...
