Mark Blount decided that his name was to be pronounced Mark Blunt? Does anyone doubt he got this idea while smoking a blunt?

No doubts about that whatsoever.

I'm sure most of us try not to.

Probably the fondest memory of Blount was the day that he left for Minnesotta....Whoops!
Gosh.... that was mean?

He is one of the only ex-celtics still in the league never to have a thread, even a post suggesting we try and reacquire him.

What about Marcus Banks?

I'd take Marcus as a 15th man right now.

Once again I have been proven wrong. I'd take a team made up of 15 Banks before I would take Blount though

Actually, there were some Banks supporters who wanted him back, at least in a free agency type situation a few years back. Blount's name really has never been mentioned in the context of re-acquisition.

He was reading a copy of Whitman's "Leaves of Grass" after realizing that Hemingway is too direct.

Also remember, when Wyc trashed him saying he's like our new jumbotron or something; that it costs alot of money but atleast it does something.
I don't remember exactly but it went something like that, found that pretty hilarious.
Was during the 2006-2007 season?

It's hilarious. Nobody (outside of this board) believed me that we fleeced the Wolves when Blount and Ricky went there. And afterwards nobody believed me that the Heat made a very big mistake acquiring them. But at least now it's common knowledge that Blount is one of the most terrible NBA players you might have on your team.

I was getting married the next day in BOS and was in hotel having luch where he stayed. He was at the table next to me with his two jewish agents and they were really trying to work him up. Saying garbgage like you are better off in minnie. They will use your skills better so and so on. The best part was when Mark smoke a boount was saying, I'm better off without this place. They need me more than I need them. Great stuff.

I've never been happier than the day that Stone Hands Blount was traded.
He worked his butt off and was a decent player for us, but as soon as he got his $$$, he stopped giving a damn.

I've never seen a player go from hardworking, busting-his-tail to complete worthlessness so fast. It was like nothing I've ever seen.
Remember when we thought the Raef/Blount/Mihm/Hunter frontcourt was among the best in the league?
