Hi!Here's a story from Greece.A greek club(PAOK) made an offer to Lue but he rejected it this evenin because according to some reports he's agreed with Celtics.I can give you a link if you want but it's in greek. The site that wrote it is not very reliable though.

It's Greek to me.

No, seriously-- I wouldn't be at all surprised if this rumor is true. Why not? We can argue all day about it but the team could use a vet PG to come off the bench and run the team 10-15 minutes a game and doesn't cost big bucks.

I'd like to see Hudson stay with the team, but maybe it's too much to expect. He could take Lue's contract in Greece for a year, then switch again.

I actually heard the opposite, that the greek club was confident that he would be heading there

though this report could well be more recent, so thanks for the update

Why don't we try to avoid the drama of trying to find a backup PG and just have someone in camp who we know can contribute if needed?

Luther Head > Tyrone Lue IMHO. I don't see why we should settle for the guy.

We already have a Luther Head on the roster, his name is E-House. I don't think we need Lue with all the people we have to run the offense through in the Big 4 + Daniels part time + TA when he shows up.

if Rondo goes down for any amount of time we are in trouble. I'm not saying Lue is the best option but he is better than doing nothing.

If true, I rank this move average at best. He's friends w Garnett so I have to respect the fact that Celtics management actually listens to its players.

I would go with Head over Lue. Neither are pure PG but can be serviceable in the role that we need them for. Head is bigger and younger and Lue couldn't get much PT even after Nelson went down, which isn't a good sign. If Head is picked up by another team it might not be a bad idea to just stick with Hudson. I don't know..

I think Head must have something going on health wise he was a pretty nice player and his mins just disappeared but I don't think he is a player you can with Eddie House.

There was talk about Lue early in the offseason then nothing, I wonder if they told to come to camp if he wanted a gig similiar to Sam I am last season.

I still think the backup PG is going to be Iverson. I mean think about it, would you rather be a backup on the Grizz making $3.5 million or a backup on the Celtics making $1.3 million with a chance for a championship? AI is suppose to make a decision today so we shall see.

Well, considering that Iverson himself said that if he had to play back-up point guard, that he would retire, it makes me doubt that he would join the Celtics as a backup to Rondo, even with a championship opportunity.

Well ESPN has Hudson listed on our roster. It just happened today, so maybe he's signed to some kind of contract.

"I want to win. I want to contribute. I want to be a part of some type of success, whether it's on a championship team or if it's on a team that's on the up-rise. With me signing with somebody, I want it to be with somebody that's dedicated to trying to win a championship. I have a lot of things on my resume. I've done a lot of things in my career. But it's just that one missing piece, that one missing piece to my resume, and that's a championship.

"At this point in my career, that should be the only thing that's important to me and that's the only thing that is important."

If Iverson has an attitude like that then Boston is the place to be.

Iverson is not coming here. He can get a large role in Charlotte, a large paycheck in Memphis, or if he wants to win a title, I'm sure another one of the contenders could offer him a bigger role for the min. Get over the AI delusions. I'm not a hater of his, I want to see him succeed, but he's not doing that here.

As for Lue, after the whole Rubio fiasco over the summer, I don't trust anything that comes out of European reports anymore after all the misinformation that was constantly fed to us (I think he was confirmed to have signed with at least three teams in Europe at different times according to sources). But in terms of just bringing Lue in, I'd be fine with it. That's exactly what we need at the backup point. I'm sure we'd all love more, but what we need is someone who isn't House bringing the ball up the court when Rondo's on the bench instead of relying on Daniels or Pierce to do it for several minutes a game. That's about a 5-10 minute role off the bench which Lue would do well with.

In my opinion at least, Head's the better player, but Lue is more suited to fill that role right now. He's more of a ballhandler and distributor than Head is. Head's probably a better scorer, but we don't need that off the bench with Eddie. We need someone who can bring the ball up so we aren't suffering with House doing it for long periods of time again.

Also, get someone in now. Don't wait for buyouts again. The point's just not a position you can pick up midseason with a team like this, as it showed the past two years with Cassell and Marbury. I've said since last year that I wanted Marbury back because I'd like to see what he could do with a training camp and preseason under his belt and that we should have given Pruitt some more minutes with how well he worked last preseason with House. That's stuff with the point guard spot that you need to hammer out early on.
