This looks like that same rumor that was covered in a thread last week:

http://celticshub.com/2009/08/29/a-clos ... os-arroyo/

FWIW, out of the PG's out there right now I think he'd be nice addition for the Celtics. I don't think he's necessary, but if he comes at the right price, yeah. He may not be available at the trade deadline so now could be the time.

Arroyo isn't going to come here and sit on the bench as the third PG. I also don't see a backcourt of Arroyo and House being effective together. I think if Arroyo were to come here we would need to look at moving House. I don't know how Ainge and Doc are looking at the second unit and how they percieve Arroyo on this team compared to House, but lets say they like Arroyo as the second PG instead of House, what can we do with House?
I think we could send House to the Wolves with Giddens for Damien Wilkins and a second rounder next year. Minny has no outside shooting and House would be a great value to them in that area. Wilkins is a lot like Daniels that he can play 3 positions on the court and can spell more relief for Ray and Pierce. This type deal can open up a roster spot for a look at Hudson also.
I think Wilkins would also bring more roster flexability to this team. I like a second unit of Arroyo, Wilkins, Daniels, Baby, and Wallace better than having House and either Walker or Giddens in there. Walker and Giddens are not ready in my eyes for what this team has at this point. If we weren't a veteran team with this much talent then they could get some run, but I don't think they can hang savvy wise with the vets.

Eddie will be in Celtics green when the season starts. He isn't going anywhere..he picked up his player option, and made less money to stay with the Celtics this year..what kind of slap in the face would it be to let him go now?

The Carlos Arroyo thing has been one of the most underrated humorous things of the offseason. The guy's agent is blatantly spreading rumors that "x, y, z are interested in Carlos and z has an offer on the table already." It turns funny because then the team comes out and says they haven't even talked to Carlos once this summer. It's hilarious, and now "arroyo.com" is posting here on the Celtics RealGM board. Highly entertaining stuff.
