Garnett's Minutes Per Game?

How many minutes per game will KG play this year? Danny Ainge recently stated that having a healthy Garnett for the playoffs is top priority so, how will this affect his minutes (especially in the first half of the year)?

28 mpg looks good to me. My estimate is on the lower side but his minutes can always go up as the season wears on. Perk, Wallace and Baby can shoulder the load in the short-term.

What does everyone else think? Put a # on KG's minutes this season...

i think we are looking at 25 minutes a game to start the season especially with sheed right there. if things go well i can see him peeking at 32-33 minutes but doc wouldnt push it past that

Rather than limiting minutes i suspect KG will be sitting out games at regular intervals in the early going. so long as sheed, perk, and baby are healthy we should be ok.

so i think he will play his usual 32 mpg, but will sit out maybe 10-15 games before the ASB. if he's healthy then he can play the remainder all-out.

Kind of the same thing that I've been thinking.

ParticleMan, I like your thinking. The more I think about it, it's probably better for KG to get into a rhythm instead of simply cutting down his playing time. Maybe he'll sit every 4th game but still play 32 minutes a night? That seems reasonable to me.

or just sit out all back-to-backs. that's a lot of wear and tear to have to play 2 days in a row. and in the playoffs there are no back to backs so it's not like he'd be out of condition. i think Duncan was on a similar plan for a while.
