Too late maybe now, and he never knocked my my socks off, but I might have taken him over Marquis Daniels. Thoughts?

I liked him before we got Daniels and have no regrets signing Daniels to the deal we did, rather than signing Sasha. None at all. Marquis is proven and is going to complement Eddie off the bench terrifically.

I'm definitely content with Marquis as well, though I feel like Pavolovic has looked less of a knucklehead on defense... and doesn't have a clown blowing his brains out with a shot gun on his fore arm.

Pavs will get a look. I wouldn't be surprised if he got an LLE offer from someone though..

I doubt Danny is interested but I would take him for the minimum. He would be a nice back up SF...

I'd sign Pavs for the vet min without hesitation. He would be our biggest wing and can D'up and hit the 3. This isn't really a Pavs v Daniels situation. Danny was looking to sign Bowen so he understands that we could still use some more depth at the 3. Daniels true value is his PG level handle and complementing House.

He'd be a great wing off the bench as long as he doesn't have to play like 25+ mins like he did on the Cavs.

Thing is, that is exactly what he needs it seems like.

True about it not being about a Pav vs. Daniels. It's more, what do you want more, another back up point or pav? Which makes me wish we waited on Daniels (though it would have been waiting on pins and needles). I'd rather have house at sg, pav at sf, and our free agent pg or hudson, depending on how well the kid does. God dammit I can't wait for the season. Anyways, it comes down to how much $$$ the teams are willing to shelve out and with the marquis signing, it would seem like the back up pg spot is the last add on.

When watching him in Cleveland, he seemed like a better player in short bursts instead of starter mins. Maybe that's just me. I just don't think he has Tony Allen syndrome.

I think you should reconsider why you might take him over Marquis Daniels since he's worse than Daniels in just about every category save 3-pt shooting. Pavlovic is OK and he complements Daniels well on the wing but, TA (despite his lack of mind control) is still a better player. The only reason to sign Pavlovic would be to add shooting, however, I think we have enough shooters/scorers on the team right now with House, Ray, Pierce, Baby, KG...and you know Rasheed can't stay on the block for too long.

If the only reason to add Pav was shooting I wouldn't have brought him up. I think out of the gate, Pav is a much better team defender. From what I've seen and heard, Marquis's d is shaky and takes a lot of chances on steals. It's not to say he can't find a role on the c's, but that if I had to do it over again, Pav all day. Pav also played half as much time as Marquis did, and on a better team, so I wouldn't use those stats as a strong indicator of his talent and bbiq.
In a perfect world we'd sign pav and a back up pg on top of what we have and then let the bench naturally find it's way through camp and the season.

He's a Wolf now. Man is that team going to suck this year.

As much as I'd like to see Cleveland edge out Boston, I can't sit idly by and support the Celtics going after Pavs.
Aside from maybe Lorenzen Wright, Pavlovic was the worst player on the Cavs last year. He can't handle the ball or pass, and he's waaay too confidence driven to consistently come off the bench and knock down shots, which is surprising, b/c his shot form is pretty solid. His size is an asset on defense (I've seen him guard Vince Carter surprisingly well in the playoffs), but he's so offensively inept that Bill Walker would probably outplay him in training camp.
Pavlovic seems like a nice guy, and every Cleveland player (including Lebron) claims that he tears it up in practice, but he just seems like a guy whose confidence would skyrocket by playing in Europe

Scratch what I said, after seeing that Pavs signed with the T-Wolves. I'd love to find out that David Kahn signed him just to tell Ricky Rubio "see, there's other Euros who don't mind playing in the obscene cold"

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!!!!!!!
Pavs is a fringe NBA player. He's nowhere near good enough to get minutes on a contender.

Thoughts? I'd say that's like taking Bea Arthur over Jennifer Garner.
