or does that logic not apply to refs?

I could only imagine when these guys get paid this year how horrible they will be.
NFL fans are now feeling what NBA fans been living for a while...

this is why I'm hoping Ray Allen goes nutso in the playoffs this year :D

^ I hope so too but, what would that do to his contract status? Let's go to the extreme and say he drops 27ppg in the playoffs. Ray Ray would then be staring directly at a deal worth $12-14 mil annually. I'm not saying that's a bad thing...it would be great for the fans but management might have a problem with it when the time comes to ink a new deal. Then again, they may not care what his price is if he plays well enough to bring home #18.

Typically, contract year = best performance so this should pay off in some way for the Celts during the season and the playoffs.
