OT-Rashard The Poodle Barks back..

Post#1 » by BRUNiNHO91 » Wed Sep 30, 2009 4:06 am

....at Paul's tweet....

Practice hasn't even officially started yet and the Orlando Magic are already feeling disrespected.

Even though the Magic are the defending Eastern Conference champions, it seems nobody is picking them to return to the Finals this year.

In fact, it was during their Finals matchup with the Lakers when Boston Celtics star Paul Pierce tweeted to his followers, "Looked like a German shepherd vs. a poodle. That’s OK the Rottweiler Celtics will be back in 2010."

Magic forward Rashard Lewis, during the team's Media Day Monday, took umbrage with Pierce's Twitter remark and went after Pierce not like a poodle but like a pitbull.

When a reporter brought up the Orlando Poodles comment made by Pierce, Lewis emphasized the fact that Pierce made his remark on Twitter. And you know what that means?

It means, Lewis said, Pierce was "at home" tweeting while the Magic were playing for the NBA championship.

Excellent point.

Lewis, Dwight Howard and the rest of the Magic start training camp today with the same chip on their shoulders that has fuelled them in the past.

Said Magic point guard Jameer Nelson: "Nobody believes in us, but we believe in ourselves."

What about you?

Do you believe in the Orlando Pitbulls, Poodles or some dog in between?

Only took him about 4 months to 'Woof' back at Paul... ..

what good is it to "play" in the finals when you KNOW you're gonna lose?? 2nd place is the same as the worst/31st place team in the league when you dont win. there is only 1 goal ... puahahahahahaaa

What's up with Orlando constantly saying things like "No one believes in us except ourselves" or "We don't get enough respect"? I mean, I know it's supposed to be a motivational tool, but still...

In fairness to the Magic, their success had indeed been downplayed by a lot of critics, analysts and fans. But to some extent I do agree, it gets a bit overblown sometimes.

Do you think that anyone on the Orlando Magic thought they were going to lose? Honestly man who thought Orlando had a chance to beat Cleveland? I expected Cleveland to role over Orlando as most people did and Orlando shocked the world there should they have just given up when people said they did not have a chance?

That's about as limp-dicked and weak a response (months later, no less) as any I've ever seen...

orlando magic are joe budden of the nba. sure they have talent and skills, it's just their constant whining about how underappreciated they are and permanent bitterness about not getting enough respect that gets on people nerves. that was SVG's attitude all along and it really rubbed off to the players and fans. they need to chill and stop complaining or somebody gonna punch them in the mouth wu-tang style.

He should've made these comments when he was juicing on his steroids, not now.

1. Orlando deserves respect since they are the 08-09 E/C champs so every other E/C team and player needs to STHU with the hate and the bashings, since they have no room to talk, Orlando made it to the finals and everybody else didnt.

2. STV needs to STHU and stop crying like the world owes him just because his team made it to the finals.

3. P.P needs to stop instigating things since it took him 2 other F.H.O.F to get his first title and it just proves how weak he is and was since he could'nt take his team past the second round without K.G.

4. Rashard needs to grow some balls and should've delt with this when P.P made this statement not months later.

Overall, I cant wait till this season starts. All this ish talking is really making this up and coming season very interesting.

In your opinion which of all those juggernaut preGarnett Celtic teams should have made it to the conference finals?

...I mean aside from the one that did get past the second round.

Nobody hates the Magic. Their fans feel that way. They want the world to bow down at their feet because they got 3rd seed in the east, and beat Cleveland in the East Finals. Pierce said they were getting done by the Lakers, like some whores, and was he lying? They were getting raped in the Finals, at home, in an elimination game. I would rather be eliminated in the 2nd round, than go to the Finals and get humiliated...

It took Kobe Shaquille O'neal to get 3 rings..than it took Kobe Lamar Odom, and Pau Gasol to get the other ring. It took Dwyane Wade Shaquille O'neal to get a ring...so what's your point? Paul Pierce made it to the Eastern Conference Finals with a starting line up of Tony Battie, Antoine Walker, Kenny Anderson and Rodney Rogers...so really..if Pierce is weak taking that team to the East Finals, what would LeBron and Carmelo Anthony be? They both have stacked rosters and can't win a ring.

At least you were right about something. Magic didn't win anything without a couple of other HOF's either it is how it goes.

Of course Kobe can roll up their like his idle and tell everyone how did it by himself, because KG and Manu were hurt, LeBron gagged and the Magic are a pack of poodles.

No, but sitting at home watching the finals on T.V and bashing the Magic for losing not only makes him look like a sore loser but a leader who couldnt lead his own team without K.G. So technically he has no room to talk.

So you feel the Magic played well in the Finals and deserve compliments for their efforts?

Or you feel that the only people in a position to criticize the Magic are the Lakers? No one else should voice an opinion on their play?

Rashard Lewis and the Magic need to drink a cup of STFU.

They barely beat us in the ECF last year when we were missing our best player KG. They got smoked by the Lakers and didn't even looked like they belonged on the same court as them.

I agree, but again loosing in the finals is much better than loosing in the second round.

3. P.P needs to stop instigating things since it took him 2 other F.H.O.F to get his first title and it just proves how weak he is and was since he could'nt take his team past the second round without K.G.

Well technically it took Shaq a Kobe to get three rings, since Shaq never won a ring without Kobe, but Kobe did go the finals after getting Pau midway through 07-08 and then won a title in 08-09. As far as D-Wade, it was more than Shaq, if anything his success was largely due to his cast of Zo,Payton etc.

Also having a stacked team doesnt guarantee title, I mean take my 04 Lakers for example.

Also my point is, P.P shouldnt be bashing the Magic since technically they made it to the finals and the Cs didnt.

Sully ........... brah I never brought up Kobe in my post, but technically when we lost Kobe never bashed anyone and never blamed anyone. If anything he took the lose and blamed himself for the teams failure AND made a promise that he would not fall short next year and he didnt. I mean you cant say he didnt.

Also nobody remembers 2nd or thrid place, Champions go into the history books, anything short of a championship is basically a failure take it from a Laker fan. I wasnt proud of my Lakers losing to the Cs in 08, and I didnt make up any lame excuses for our failure. We took our loss and hoped to do better the following year and we did.

As far as Pauls remark though he doesnt have any room to talk since his team did get beat by the Magic, and the Magic did beat the Cavs, so technically the Magic did beat the top two E/C teams.

Now if Paul and some Cs fans as well as other team fans want to keep bringing up injuries to blame their faliure and to discredit other teams success, then feel free to do so, but dont knock them down for their accomplishments. It just makes you look lame and labels you as a sore loser. I mean you guys made a big hype about Lebron not shaking the Magics hands after their loss, so whats the difference between Lebrons actions than P.P actions? Nothing.
