2K10 Player Ratings

Celtics

Kendrick Perkins - 72
Kevin Garnett - 89
Paul Pierce - 84
Ray Allen - 80
Rajon Rondo - 87

Rasheed Wallace - 74
Glen Davis - 65
Marquis Daniels -
Eddie House - 59

Tony Allen - 66
Shelden Williams - 60
Bill Walker - 59
JR Giddens - 57
Brian Scalabrine -

Lester Hudson -

The ratings were expected to be low, but wow! Rondo better than both Ray AND Paul?! Third best PG?! I can see being better than Ray maybe, but definitely not the Truth yet. And definitely not the third best PG and tied for 10th best player overall in the game. That's absurd and I am a huge Rondo fan. I was pleasantly surprised to see KG's rating didn't drop that much considering the new ratings scheme. Perkins is also very underrated... lower rating than Oden. Really? Oden has barely seen any floor time in the NBA thusfar and in that time Perkins has been vastly superior. Not to say Oden won't get better, but not appropriate right now. House seems a little low... Don't know what the deal with Daniels and Scal not being rated. Especially Daniels, considering he will play a huge role for us.

Having said that, we are tied at 88 overall for the best team rating with the Lakers so no complaints there.

It's a new ratings system so overall ratings don't really matter as much anymore. Tony Allen has a higher rating than Eddie House because he's got a better all around game, but Eddie's got excellent shooting ratings.

Actually that probably makes sense. House can only shoot, probably doesn't help his overall rating.

Ya it's just quite strange to see though. And I'm sure, just like in any other NBA 2K game, if you switched House's primary position to SG, you'd see a significant raise. I may be speaking too early because who knows how the ratings work in that instance, but that is the what happened in previous versions anyway.

Regardless, 66 for TA seems way too high i'd say maybe a point or two better than BW/JR just because of his "experience".

the overrall ratings arent anything to put much stock into

its just that guys like Rondo that have an overall game, passing, rebounding, defense etc need to have high ratings in each of those fields for the game to play like real life... it will still be far easier to take over a game with a guy like durant, even though he is rated considerably lower than rondo overall

^Hopefully all these comments about ratings not meaning that much are true because I also noticed Harden is already a 76 while someone like Eric Gordon is a 72. Would make sense if a lot of it is based on being an all-around player though.

The overall rating isn't that important, the letter grade in each category is more important.

I don't remember what it was but Rondos rating on NBA Live is pretty bad compared to the other PG's.

in 2k9 I would own with Rondo; he would steal everything and be a one man fast break. So I'm anticipating doing more of the same if not more with his higher rating.

Its more difficult to do than with guys like kobe, ray, durant etc... but taking over games with the little guys like rondo or parker, especially when your playing against friends is just awesome

Has anyone downloaded NBA 2k10 Draft Combine? If so, how is your created player doing? I created a 6-10 center who likes to score down low. Averaged 17 and 9 during the pre-draft workouts, and I'm projected to go in the 2nd round, 19th overall to the Hawks (ugh!!!). Can't wait till 2k10 comes out so I can develop my guy some more. He's like the real life Al Jefferson - dude is nice on the blocks, but unfortunately, can't do much to stop opposing centers.

Hopefully I can work my way up the D-league and eventually sign with the Celts. 8-)

Ew. Terrible ratings for the C's.

I've noticed games start to do more of this though. Madden made their ratings more realistic these days, by lowering a lot of guys.

Yeah I really like this new idea of truly serperating the stars from the scrubs by putting wider ranges on overalls, now they just need to get who is actually a star and who is just a scrub right.

I think K.G and paul need a higher rating but the rest of them deserve what they got
