More Raves for Rondo

“I’m telling you, man, he’s looking great,’’ Garnett said of Rajon Rondo. “To me he’s the best looking person in here, and we have some (good looking) people from Ray (Allen) to Rasheed (Wallace) to Big Baby. Lester (Hudson) looks good.

“(But Rondo) looks razor sharp,’’ he said. “If you were to slide down Rondo right now you’d probably be cut. Seriously, he looks that razor sharp. He looks that strong. Today he was coming down on a three-on-three and he pulled up at the free throw line, and was mad that he missed the jump shot.

“But he has the confidence. I love him right now. He’s salivating at the mouth right now. He’s like a pit ready to scratch. He’s on point right now. I like this cutting edge he’s bringing to the team.’’

Yet another mention of Lester. Lester's making this team and maybe threatening to get some PT down the road.

My guess would be that Lester plays the point for Maine most of the season, unless injuries to Rondo or House happen. He could bounce back and forth a bit because Portland is so much closer to Boston than Utah.

Eager to see him play. Nothing but raves so far. Who cares if he is 25? Some pretty good players didn't get into the league before 25. Bowen and Rodman and a bushel of Euros come to mind.

lol gotta love how KG puts things sometimes

great news all round coming out so early from camp (other than B.W obviously)

lets hope its not just contract related and Rondo is really out there to be the best he can be

Contract year or not, when a guy noticeably improves his frame, works hard on his weaknesses, and gets accolades from everyone on how he's playing, that's impressive.

The ever shrinking island of Rondo critics is going to be even smaller this season.

Good to hear about Sheed. We all knew that Baby and RA were getting into crazy shape this offseason, but I wasn't sure what Sheed was doing. It seems he also worked on his conditioning. This is a seriously focused team. Hopefully we stay lucky throughout the season with injuries.

Looks like Ainge played the emotions of Rondo just the right way.

Hell yeah, Rondo loves roller raves.

True but if a player wasn't bulking up and working on his weaknesses as he is poised to sign a contract of 8 figures there would be something really wrong about his intelligence and motivation.

I have a strange feeling that this will be Rondos last season as a Celtic, Im hoping we somehow resign him before the season...

He's restricted next year. The only way he'll be out of town is if the Knicks strike out on Lebron and Wade and offer Rondo the max or something along those lines.

They're are going to be a lot more teams then just the Knicks with loads of capspace.

Good for Rondo, btw who did KG mention poor things about?

Impressions are made in the playoffs, not someone playing with a chip in training camp.
