i'm envisioning a baby, powe fight...

Post#1 » by FeedReed » Thu Oct 1, 2009 3:45 pm

who else is seeing this go down in the playoffs? theirs definately gonna be a feud between the 2, with their competitive past and opposite personalities, it didn't seemed like they liked each other in boston. only thing is i'm a little sad about is it's baby on the c's side instead of leon but oh well.

haha no. you should have seen what teams and players did to powe when he was at cal, and he never once responded in any way at all. that's not leon, he's strictly business out there. dunno about baby but he doesn't seem like a fighting type guy.

true but emotion will be running high and u know baby will antagonize it. let's face it, baby's the reason powe isn't in boston anymore and i don't think that sits well with him.

I'm envisioning Leon, at the end of Cleveland's bench and in the trainer's room..

A knee injury on a team with a short window of opportunity is the reason why Powe is not in Boston.

A healthy Powe would have made the cut over Davis.

Neither one of them are fighters. They get under peoples skin by playing hard, diving and taking charges but neither one of them react to it when its the opponent doing it to them.

I don't know about at the end of the bench, but definitely in the trainer's room.

Once the playoffs start I don't see Baby or Powe getting many minutes so they won't have many opportunities for a fight. If they do I would put my money on Leon. If Leon didn't get hurt I would bet he would still be here in Boston and Baby would have been out the door. Too bad.

Has it ever happened that former teammates get in a fight on the court? I can't recall it. Usually there's too much respect there even if they don't like each other.

Larry Johnson and Alonzo Mourning had to be separated after Zo got traded to the Heat.

Anthony Peeler punched KG when he was on the Kings.

And even though they were still teammates at the time, I recall Dale Ellis and X-Man almost getting into it during a game when they were on the Sonics. It was pretty funny watching the opposing team's players seperating the two.

I don't recall Leon and Baby having any issues with one another. Did something happen or are you just speculating?

good calls. i knew that would get the history buffs out :)

anyways i don't remember that baby and powe really disliked each other or anything. plus leon is on a championship contender, and got a 2-yr deal. wtf does he have to complain about? i'm probably more mad as a C's fan that leon's not on our team than leon is.

They don't really have issues and BBD really doesn't seem like the fighting type. He is like Tommy Boy not Kimbo Slice.. Guys on our team who could get in fights - Bill Walker, TA, Perkins, KG, and Rondo. I am not sure about Scabs..

i remember reading they had to be seperated at practice a few times, ok maybe it was just once i read that. he doesn't have anything to complain about as far as money goes, but you don't think he's resentful to the celtics? i mean healthy he's at least twice as valuable to the team as baby. powe and sheed together would be a force, i question baby and sheed playing together. sheed doesn't want to rebound, baby's too small to get many.

They had to be seperated during a practice last year. Somehow it leaked to the media, but that ish happens all the time in the NBA so it was probably overblown. Just two guys going hard.

And just for the record BBD would beat the **** out of Leon, lets be real. The dude is training as UFC fighter right now and could probably bench press anyone in the NBA under the table. He was body slamming shaq when he was in middle school.

I definitely wouldn't want to see a Baby/Leon brawl, although I'm sure they could both hold their own. I'd much rather see Glen Davis come down hard on the diesel or Lebron and break their collarbone though. You know, accidentally, of course. I would never suggest someone do that intentionally.
