Oct 7th-Rockets vs Celtics

Hello Celtic-nation. I'm from the Rio Grande Valley, McAllen, TX to be exact, this is where the Houston Rockets are hosting a 2-day training camp followed by a preseason game on Wednesday night vs the Celtics. This is an excited time here deep in South Texas as we have never hosted anything of this magnitude. The game will be played at Dodge Arena at 7:30ct. This venue only seats 6,000 fans and the game has been sold out for a while now. The Rockets are the home team simply because their D-League affiliation team is from the Rio Grande Valley, the Vipers. But to actually get the Celtics down here for a game took this whole experience to the next level. I have my tickets, of course, and can't wait for Wednesday night. I can only imagine your starting 5. KG, Sheed, Pierce, Allen, and Rondo all on the floor at the same time. The best five in the league IMO.
Stay tuned for post game summary.

Thats not our starting 5. Rasheed is coming off the bench, our defensive anchor, Kendrick Perkins will still man the middle with the starting group.
I do share your excitement about the start of the upcoming season though, good luck.

I believe you mean 7th I think. But yes, should be a great game, or least very telling about how our season could go. Yeah, it's only preseason but everyone on this board and any Celtic fan out there share the same hope that KG looks good when playing. Looks like we're going to find out in just a couple days.
Good luck to the Rockets, my best friend's favorite team...because of T-Mac

... you're going to need it!

Keep us posted TXSun! I'd love to hear an in-person report from you.
Hope you guys have a blast at the game! I wish more pre-season games would take place in smaller markets giving everyone a chance to catch a live game.

Tracy Mcgrady is out until Nov 23rd at least which is when he will have his f/u mri. i am interested to hear how KG looks especially if he is dragging or favoring the injured knee. he looked pretty good in the practice.

Anyone know if Tommy will be back full-time? I thought he wasn't traveling to care for his wife. Sadly she passed away.

I am pretty sure that Tommy will only do home games and a few local road games.
