No staples

Post#1 » by Gant » Tue Oct 6, 2009 11:30 pm

C'mon Bill Simmons, make a call before you print rumors like staples in the knee.

Article on Danny Ainge in usatoday (via celticsblog):

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/basketba ... inge_N.htm

This summer he dealt with questions on the status of superstar Kevin Garnett's knee, including whether the 33-year-old forward had tendons stapled to bone (Ainge says he does not).

"It's like this thing created a life of its own," Ainge says. "I've had so many crazy questions. People say, 'He tore his (anterior cruciate ligament) and you didn't want to say it.' My gosh.

"He had an aggravating bone spur on the back of his knee. It was a good-sized one. There was no structural thing there. I think KG is going to be fine. He looks good right now. He's just got to get his confidence back, his strength, all that."

Didn't Phil ask Vujacic to staple his hair back, Farmar to staple his ears flat, and Kobe to staple his penis inside his pants?!?!?

ROFL... give it a break Tony.

Seriously brah, how sad is that your coach has to tell you to get a haircut. Its like your a kid getting ready to go to school and your mom has to tell you and drive to the barber shop.

A confession: although it is fun and easy to make fun of Sasha, I would have picked him and Varejao over Allen and West in the Celtics 2004 draft. Still would, hair and all.

Not to derail this thread anymore, but through out this past few years specially last year I lost every bit of hope and faith I had in sissy boy. As a fan I think him and Farmar are the last two pieces I would like to see the Laker trade or get rid of. Im so sick of Sasha and Farmars antics and bitching and whinning that I would rather see them leave the Lakers for a bag of chips than have them sit on the pine doing nothing. But thats just me.

Maybe we can do a three team trade in the future. Im sure Sasha would look very nice in your greens. Can you picture that????

I'd still take Sasha and Anderson over Delonte and Tony right now, but if it was just Sasha for either Delonte or Tony Allen--- I don't know, those are three players with some major faults. I suppose Vujacic can at least pretend to be a shooter at times, and T Allen can play better defense, but really none of the players have lived up to the promise. Oddly enough, I think Varejao is having the best career right now.

Yeah, this thread is officially derailed. Sorry Gant--- Simmons and staples just didn't cut it.

What, you mean Bill Simmons opened his big stupid mouth BEFORE having all the facts and made an ass out of himself? Super Celtics "fan" BS? I don't believe it! (/sarc)

Shouldn't this dispel any lingering doubts that Simmons isn't a Grade A, 1st Class Ass-Clown? He most certainly is...lucky us, he's a "huge" "fan" of the Celtics...
