Haha...+1 and put all these trade ideas to rest. Harris is a solid player but Rondo is clearly better. The back-up PG match-up is equally interesting and entertaining - Alston and E-Harmony. House might have to show-up to the Meadowlands with a reinforced headband.

^^^ Get real. Harris has crap on his team and Rondo has 4 all-stars. Don't you think Harris might look better with 4 all-stars?

Don't you think Rondo would get better stats if he played on a crap team?

Good question. I bet his rebounding would stay the same, assists would go down, scoring up and fg percentage down. Not exactly clear cut.

This offense is scary as it is currently constructed. With Harris at the point, you don't have a chance. No more Kobe playing free safety against our offense. And I'm trying to get a demonstrative video going of how bad Alston left Rondo in that Orlando series. I'll figure it out eventually.

I think that Doc is going to rest the starters either tonight or tomorrow night. Ray and Paul probably won't rest on the same night, same with KG and Perk. Rondo will probably play both games but his minutes will be cut short in one or both. I think the key is not to push the guys too much. Here is a snippet from Boston.com with a few quotes from Doc:

The Celtics are 2-1 with five games remaining before the Oct. 27 regular-season opener at Cleveland. Most of the starters will be rested either tonight or against New York in Hartford tomorrow. Rivers said he would prefer limiting the players’ exhibition games.

“We’re not sure yet,’’ Rivers said about specific players. “We’ll see how guys feel. We worked pretty hard, so we’ll wait until [last night] or maybe [today]. Whoever is most sore won’t play.

“In a perfect world, maybe five, six tops. You do need games, to see other teams, play in front of a crowd. The travel is not great, but I think that’s a lesson for some of the guys, and to get them in the rhythm of traveling.’’

Man..if I'm Doc, I go with a Hudson, TA, Giddens, Sweets and Shelden line-up...they are the guys battling for a spot..let them **** play! Im sick of looking at the stats and seeing players like JR with less than 2 minutes of playing time!

Considering that the Celtics entire game plan is revolved around shutting Harris down your post couldn't be further from the truth.

It's also a lot easier to play good defense when you have players like KG and Pierce starting as opposed to Yi Jianlian and Bobby Simmons...

Oh well haters will be haters.

I'm looking forward to the Lopez vs. Perkins matchup again.

Both Harris and Rondo are exceptionally good young PG's. Rondo is the better all around stat stuffer and floor general and Harris is the better shooter and scorer. They're on the same tier as PG's though.

Lopez is a really intriguing center man. He's super skilled and has legit center size. He's going to see a lot of double teams as he becomes more and more the focal point of the Nets offense. The fact that he was able to do some of the things he did against Perkins, an elite post defender, speaks volumes of how good he is.

I agree bout Harris and Rondo. They are pretty comparable, so it really comes down to who has the best game, and then who is having the best season.

Agreed. he might average 15-18ppg but on around 40% shooting.. His assists would be cut way down though as his rebounding would probably slip a bit as the guy would get more worn out playing O.

Harris would be incredible for us. As Doc and Danny have commented on numerous equations - we do not need or want a "pure" PG. When you have excellent one on one players who can make good decisions like KG, Pierce, RA and Sheed alot of other people are going to end up handling the ball and setting up other people. So why not get a complete player at the PG spot. Danny thinks this as he has already tried to move Rondo for Harris.

My post is nothing but the truth homie. Check out their head to hear match ups and see. And I hope you're not calling me hater, just because I think Rondo is better than Harris.
Defense is defense..and I was talking 1-on-1 matchups(you know..just like the type of 1-on-1 that Devin Harris got his ass busted by a London kid a couple years back, I'm sure you heard of that)..not team matchups..so Pierce and KG really don't matter...

Big 3 Resting tonight

Rondo/House/Daniels/Sheed/Perk started

Eddie and Sheed basically doing all the scoring at this point, pretty even first
