I would rather have Antonio Daniels who is probably going to be released any day now by the TWolves.

+1. While Dixon is a decent player he doesn't do anything very well but score the basketball. The Celts have several shooters and scorers so Dixon's skills are a little redundant on this team. Adding Antonio Daniels is different. He's a natural back-up PG, better court vision, better ball handling and passing, and better defense. I'm not sure if he'll be released but Kahn did say he would trade Daniels for salary gain. A package of TA, Scal and $ gets it done. Is that enough? Even if he was cut, we would have to release at least 2 players to sign him so it's basically the same thing either way.

The Wolves may trade him between now and the beginning of the season but I don't think he is going to make the opening day roster for the Wolves. He doesn't fit into their plans and he would take up a roster spot, same thing for Mark Blount. We'll see.
I see a buyout coming for both Antonio Daniels and Mark Blount.

I don't think Hudson has clearly locked down a spot; we have an open spot.
I'd take Dixon. A combo guard who can knock down a jumper and who is a winner. I don't know Daniels so well that I'm sure I'd take one over the other; but I think we should try to cash Scal/TA into more than someone like that.

I agree. He is just holding the candle until a better pg option is available. But, I don't think that is Dixon. I agree that Daniels make a lot more sense if he gets waived.
