BOS/SAC Trade Scenario

Would you trade Ray Allen for Kevin Martin, Nocioni, and Francisco Garcia? Sacramento only does this as a salary dump- do they want to keep rebuilding with a 10 mill. 2 guard? They clear a ton of payroll- Celtics go deep into luxtax land, Garcia's hurt and even more overpaid than Nocioni - but Martin/Rondo could be our backcourt for a decade..

Sacramento laughs and hangs up. Although the Maloof boys are bleeding money, I doubt they'd dump Martin to rid themselves of Garcia and Nocioni. Kevin Martin, Tyreke Evans, Jason Thompson, Donte Green and Spencer Hawes are good young players to build around.

There is no way we do this trade. Sure Martin is fine but Garcia+Nocioni have ridiculous contracts...

Only if we get Ray back after Sacramento buys him out.

Why Sac did this? Why do they need salary dump at the cost of Martin?

Without a doubt I'd do that deal if I was Danny, but no way Sacramento does that imo

I think Sacramento would only get rid of Martin if they got another high level prospect in return. Someone on the lines of Rondo, Rudy Gay or a high ceiling guy like Rubio.

A similar trade idea was brought up during the summer. Both teams probably say no, but Sacramento says no more.
