C's won't suspend Glen.........

Good move.....it might hurt the team more to suspend IMO.......

BOSTON -- The Boston Celtics elected not to suspend forward Glen "Big Baby" Davis after an early morning fight with a childhood friend the day before the season opener left him sidelined for at least five weeks with a broken right thumb.

The Celtics did fine Davis an undisclosed amount.

Executive vice president Danny Ainge made the announcement with Davis seated next to him in a press conference Friday before the Celtics' game against the Chicago Bulls, saying the club wanted to keep him around to work out with the team.

I like that Wyc is sometimes so emotional but is still able to admit being too harsh. Great combination of a fan & leader at the same time.

I can't find what the whole store was, but I thought I heard Big Baby wasn't goofing around and was actually defending a girl or something. I think it's a good move. Him being out with an hand injury for a month or so is punishment enough.

I think Shelden William's play to date is more punishment than any suspension would ever be.

Good one! Agree completely. Davis will have to work hard to get the back up PF spot back...

A good move. He'll be with the team rather than hanging out with a moronic so called best friend.

This could be motivated by a desire to maintain his potential trade value. Nevertheless, I agree with the decision. What Baby did may have been boneheaded, but it was within his character. Good or bad, that emotional part of his character helps him contribute positively on the court, in games and probably in practice too.
