Celtic Massacre Jazz 8-1 Victory Cigar

Post#1 » by exculpatory » Thu Nov 12, 2009 2:45 am

Ray and Truth with very solid efficient games. For christ sake Paul only took 7 shots and scored 13 points on 60% shooting.

Cigar is tough. Rondo with umpteen assists and great game. KG deadeye shooting and aggressive at both ends - fantastic dunk from Rondo assist.

Hmm. I vote KG because he is rapidly becoming the KG of 2007-2008. Could easily be a tie.
SamIam 2010: Truth's ability to play so incredibly efficiently is so UNDERAPPRECIATED. Bballcool 2012: Amazing how great Pierce has been for so long. Continues to defy age! KG 2013: P is original Celtic. Wherever he goes, we go. This is The Truth's house.

I voted for KG. He bounced back big time after his dismal performance against the Nets.

I had no trouble voting. That's weird.

Went with KG.

LOL at the thread being up before the game ended. Nice touch.

I voted for Rondo because of the amazing passes and fakes he made throughout the game. Still, I can see why KG will win this. He obviously benefited from the three day rest.

Changed my vote from Rondo to KG. Rondo had a good game dissecting the Jazz defense, but KG is slowly returning to form. Gotta give him the cigar.

Rondo for outplaying D-Will even though he was hurt. Several good passes, a few change-of-direction dribble moves for points, a 5-dribble/4-second buzzer beater. Had the game's only double-double and he shot 7-11.

When 7 people score in double figures, while none of them goes for over 18 I'd say it's the right time to start adding other options, like "Doc" or "Total Team Effort". This was one of these games.

KG for me, dominated on both sides of the court, and the dunk on two defenders was the thing of beauty
Who would win one-on-one in HORSE?

Bird: Nobody beats me in H-O-R-S-E. Besides, Magic cant shoot.

Magic: Larry, you'd have no chance against me one-on-one. I've got too many ways to beat you. Plus, as slow as I am, I'm still faster than you.

I voted KG. Most impressive was the Defense and that's basically his responsibility.

Pretty much everyone played well. It is tough to decide between KG and Rondo but I am going with RR today...

Absolute team effort tonight. I went with the Captain's stat stuffer but it could have gone to anyone including Perk and Daniels who has been better than advertised. I figured he would be a guy we brought in for the year and moved on but from what I have seen so far this year he is perfect for this team. He is every much the slasher/playmaker you hope for but really never pan out when you try this big point thing.

I have to say I am in complete shock at how good the Landlord looks and yes he deserves to be called the Landlord again. The bench extended the lead and this one was over.
