It appears that disgruntled Golden State Warriors forward Stephen Jackson could be Charlotte-bound.

The Warriors are on the verge of completing a deal that would send Jackson and guard Acie Law to the Bobcats in exchange for veteran swingmen Raja Bell and Vladimir Radmanovic, ESPN.com has learned.

Stein is reporting it's basically a done deal.

this is awesome!!!! No Capt Jack in Cleveland!!!! Whew, we dodged a bullet there!!!!!

The Warriors are doomed to suck forever. Acie Law and Capt Jack for Radmonivic and Bell.

It's a done deal. We in Orlando, and you folks here in Boston can now breathe a bit. Not that the Cavaliers had a lot of trade assets, but I'm just glad that some highway robbery deal didn't fall through just to put Cleveland on top.

For Charlotte, this could be either good or bad news.

Nice!

Now, go and get Raja Bell Danny!

If he isn`t traded he will at least be bought out, IMO. He is a perfect fit here!

Golden State did what Memphis and Milwaukee never bothered to do:

When they were resigned to dumping a star player for little return - they exiled him to a lousy team and managed not to throw off the integrity of the league's power structure.

Good move for the Cats. They finally have a perimeter scorer.

Felton
Jackson
Wallace
Diaw
Chandler

is solid defensively and has some scoring as well.

Cavs are mad because they think they had a better offer with, likely, Delonte and a resigned Wally.

If that was the deal, I have to agree. Delonte's contract only guaranteed for $500k next year while Radmonovic's is about $6.8m. I did the math on this for kicks, and Ws likely could have saved about $8.5m total with that deal over the Bobcats one.

You can't tell me that they did that just so an injured Raja Bell and a crappy Radmanovic could help them get to 25-30 wins this year. It seems rather probable to me that they are bitter betties who are so mad at Jackson for clowning them that they did not want to send him to a contender.

Hilarious.

Nice move by the Bobcats. You know they'll get the motivated SJax and he's an upgrade to Bell. I could see them sneaking into the playoffs with an 8 seed. Regardless, they should be better.

I think it's a good deal regardless, because they're leading scorer is Wallace at 13.7 PPG, but if anyone can keep him under control, it's Brown. Won a championship and another conference title with Sheed and went to the Finals with AI.

Why would any team want to trade for Delonte?

Not about getting talent back. Both offers are garbage.

But one was garbage that was $8.5m cheaper.

Who could possibly care about having slightly better bench players during a 25-30 win season?

I'd much rather have the savings and not have Radmanovic wasting a roster spot next year. Plus, Delonte and Wally would have given them even more expiring contracts to try to make a trade with at the deadline.

hmm things could get interesting if the Bobcats pick up Iverson... you would have to think Iverson/Jax/Wallace/Diaw/Chandler is good enough for an 8th seed.

Warriors gonna send ellis+rad for bosh in the off season. nellie's such genius for thinking up of this scenario
