GSW is in disarray (like always it seems). They need to blow that team up IMO. I just hope none of their scrap lands with us
I have no interest in Monta. He thinks HE is the only one that is left that plays any D on the Warriors squad now. MONTA ELLIS? DEFENSE?! And who says that right after acquring Raja Bell
Fool...
On the other hand, I would love to bring on Steph Curry, Anthony Morrow, or Anthony Randolph. There are some pieces to be had on that team. I just absolutely doubt they are touchable at all.

I like Monta Ellis. He got criticized last season for playing bonehead-esque, but he was a young player returning from injury/suspension on a team who's veteran leadership came from Stephen Jackson, Corey Maggette, and Jamal Crawford.
I am not necessarily saying we should try to trade for him.

His contract is about equal to Rondo's no?

Rondo is practically untradable after his extension...

monta is a poop stick- avoid at all cost and don't let it touch you.
nellie is a horrible horrible man
golden state warriors are in California and that's about all the positive you can say about that team, outside of Randolph, Biedrins.

Would anyone else like a Ray for Ellis/Maggette trade?

Decent (albeit undersized) player on a bad contract. No thanks.

Love to get Ellis have no use for Maggette and just can't really stomach the idea of trading away Ray Allen.

Anyone else have a feeling that Ellis is getting traded to the Cavaliers?

Just for sh_ts and giggles....I reworked that Nocioni trade rumor and threw Ellis in there to boot....the difference being that Ellis would come here instead of Noccioni....who would be shipped to Golden State instead....and the other wrinkle to all this would be to send Eddie House along to Golden State too...
Everything else would be the same for Sacramento and Philly....
It would be a four for one deal for us....House to Golden State....Scal and Tony to Philly...and Giddens to Scaramento and we get Ellis...
The trade checker approved the 4-team deal too!
That would be a super point guard tandem of Rondo and Ellis IMO! And also allow Hudson to get the remaining minutes...Ellis and Rondo could be teamed together when Ray rests... and the empty roster spots could be filled at a later date...
4 for one....but I'd do it in this case...with all this trade talk...might just as well throw this out there for debate!
I'm thinking that Noccioni fits Golden State's style of play pretty good too...and Eddie would be at home there in his role...(especially with Raja Bell and Azubuike out now)
The bottom line for Golden State is that Nelson would get a hustler and a dead eye shooter....

I would think GS would want to dump salary so they can be players in FA next season. Those 4 guys straight up for Monta works. Sounds great on paper having Monta backup Rondo and split time at the 2 with Daniels. But we risk Monta or Rondo becoming a malcontent and I don't know if you want to lock into two guys under 6-3 for a 1/3 of the cap the next 5 years.
I don't know how much we'd miss Eddie. It seems like when a team decides to guard him he can't score.

I've wanted Ellis on the C's ever since he was drafted. Remember, we would have had GS's 2nd round pick had it fallen two slots lower that year. They took Ellis with that pick.
He's really been surprisingly boneheaded throughout his career, and he certainly is one of those players who I wish would just shut up more often than he actually does, but he's still young and oh so talented. I wonder what a change of scenery to a more stable vet squad would do for him?
Scal/TA/Giddens/House works for Ellis. Thats giving up one expiring rotation player. Ellis' speed, athleticism, and offensive prowess are really worth considering. If he could be sold on the idea of being the latest in a series of classic Celtic sixth men, maybe we'd have something here.

Monta and Maggette for Ray
Boston gets a nice backcourt of Monta and Rondo for years to come
GS gets Rays expiring salary and Maggettes deal off the books

This would almost be as bad as the Pau Gasol deal
