Giddens for Joe Alexander?

Both players names keep coming up in trades. Why not take a flyer on Alexander? Both players 3rd year options were declined. Last time we had a Caucasian SF that worked out well. :D

Milwaukee does not have any real athletic 2 men... Charlie Bell/Michael Redd/Jodie Meeks. Redd is injured and they are loaded at sf with Mbah a Moute/ Warrick/Illyasova. I think that works for both teams... Alexander can backup the SF and PF in a pinch.

Thoughts?

I was just thinking about that, I say go for it were not losing anything. However I do think a trade is coming. I was thinking as soon as giddens got in the game last nite it was to showcase as trade material and he did zip bubkus because of the early sub and Tommy's comments, if he comes in again that early i'm sure there is a trade coming.

Whether it is a package of T.allen and Scal with him involved I don't know, but I don't expect to see any of those guys after the deadline.

I was about to start a thread about this. Alexander wants out. I watched Alexander he college. He is a good shooter, with 3pt range, can rebound, and pass the ball. He can do a lot of the floor. Also we could use a SF with some size off the bench. I would like this a lot.

Other young player(s) I would want to get our Nick Young or Rodney Carney. Young is glued the the Washington bench with the arrivals of Mike Miller and Randy Foye.

I was thinking about this when they declined his option but salaries don't work straight up and I'm not willing to waste the TA/Scal expirings on Alexander.

I don't think that Boston is exactly the best place for Joe. I thought he was a pretty talented kid when he was in school but gifted defender doesn't come to mind. My guess is the kid needs mins and if he can't play for Skiles he isn't going to play here.

It isn't right but it is the truth guys like Alexander need to go to places like Memphis, MInnesota, Sacramento, New Jersey wherever and just ball. These teams need to stop being unrealistic and tell their coaches to just develop these guys not obsess about winning and losing. I like Skiles and he certainly can get a team to overachieve but to what benefit? OB is the same guy. Great you won 45 games but now you are going into the postseason and relying on guys like Raja Bell, Andres Nocioni, and Walter McCarty to win playoff games. They can develop young guys but only the ones who can defend these teams need to develop the guys who can score into defenders. That is what convinced me about Doc Rivers he sees Gerald Green and says "if only I can get him to defend." I am also totally amazed that Avery Johnson doesn't have a job for that reason.

They also have Delfino, who you didn't list. In fact, they have way too many wing options as it is.

Is Alexander better than Bill Walker or just as bad as Gerald Green?

Milwaukee seems to be much higher on Luc Mbah a Moute than him.

But that is my point Bonsa, why? Is the Prince ever going to score 15 ppg? How about 10? I mean great he can defend at an NBA level out of college so he gets all the mins but the fact that he is never going to be anything more than what he is now offensively has to be in the equation. Joe Alexander has the ability to score 15-20 ppg granted he seems to have converted his body into glass but some of it has to do with the fact that hurt or not his ass isn't playing.

It is awesome when every lottery pick is Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett but guess what they all aren't going to be that. But the Bucks are on a hot streak of just **** on their own lottery picks.
