Canman is a biased moderator - whose on a power trip!

I post something perfectly logically he threatens to suspend me.

Someone talks about the need for a low post game, and I talk about the need for an "inside game".
[Since we don't have low post players currently.]

He''s done it many times. My posts are no more biased than anyone else's on this site. There are some who dislike Rondo and constantly post negative things about him.

Don't see any threatened suspensions against them.

There are some who think Pierce is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Don't see any threats to suspend them for talking about Pierce.

I was asked no to start more Rondo threads and I haven't.

I post a logical thought in the appropriate thread.... isn't the need for a post game PART OF an inside game?

And I'm threated with suspension again. [Note: my actual posting is below.]

I'm out of here. With moderators like this guy, I have no interest in posting here.

Rather than calling it low post scoring, you could call it "inside scoring". The alternative to having a low post scorer, and we really don't have one, is driving to the hoop. [KG and Wallace don't like playing down low and Perk isn't consistent enough]

Thats what a number of people have been advocating. Use Rondo to create an "inside game" for the Celtics. It's not just Rondo layups. Its Rondo driving the middle and hitting a big man or cutter for an easy shot. That could be our "low post game".

If Doc was smart enough to do it.

I don't know the whole story of course but I am not sure what was so bad about your post. What you said made sense so I have no idea why Canman was so upset.

I think this board is exceptionally well moderated right now - and has been for a while now. As I told you when you first started spamming this board with your pro Rondo agenda message boards aren't protected by free speech.

I was told, that I had started too many Rondo threads, so I cut back.

Then when I had "ONE" Rondo thread, I was told, that was too many.

Now I have no Rondo threads. I've posted on topics relevant to the threads and still I'm threatened with suspension.

Lots of people on this board constantly say NEGATIVE things about Rondo, including you, yet no one threatens you with suspension.

Lots of people on this board have their own biases, favorite players, players they don't like etc.

Why am I the only one constantly threatened with suspension?

I've bent over backwards to try to accommodate the board's "hard case" moderator.

Tell me what is wrong with the posting below:

The first time I was threatened with suspension, my offense was "Quoting someone's words back to him".

One of the regular poster on the board, said they didn't say something. I posted the link showing where they had said it, and I was threatened with suspension. Was told I was being an "instigator".

That guy and others were calling me foul names, he and they don't get threatened with suspension.

But I quote someone else's words back to them and I'm threatened with suspension.

After being told I have too many Rondo threads, I have just one.

I have one Rondo thread and that is too many, threatened again with suspension, and that thread is locked.

and now this.

I have no Rondo threads, I post an appropriate response in a thread. Short, direct and to the point and I'm threatened with suspension again.

Its ridiculous!

Seriously, if anyone around here is on some kind of trip it's you.
from another thread-

B) aristocracy
C) slaves

and it goes on.......

I really think you're out of your mind. Arguing on a basketball forum that Rondo needs to be used better and that you think Doc is a crappy coach somehow just doesn't compare to class inequities and slavery historically there, genius. Yet you seem to be on this ridiculous crusade around here... we get it! You're of the opinion that Rondo needs to be used better and Doc is a bad coach. You're of the opinion that Rondo needs to be used better and Doc is a bad coach. You're of the opinion that Rondo needs to be used better and Doc is a bad coach.

You have stopped cluttering the board with new threads that are basically a re-hash of this, and now instead you attempt to turn almost every topic you post in into the same argument instead. This is "bending over backwards to accomodate the board's "hard case" moderator? Seriously, get a clue. They are the ones that try to keep this enjoyable for everyone by volunteering to do a free service, which is closer to "bending over backwards" than whatever little crack brained thing you think you're doing.

Personally, I think the mods do a great job on this board and have been well selected. Rarely ever do you see warnings or locked threads. But when half the board is basically asking you to stfu about something and you keep paraphrasing essentially the same point over and over in different threads they stepped in and warn you. Warn you. That is all they did. Let it go. Post about something else for a week. If that's too hard and you fee like you need to escape all this "Galileo-esque" oppression because people don't want to hear the same spiel then you won't be missed.

I have only found one moderator, who I think is biased. Thats Canman.

He's threaten me with suspension three times. Each time the cause was ridiculous.

1) I quoted another posters own words back to him. I was told I was being an instigator. At the same time, thats that poster - and others - were calling me all kinds of foul names.

was told to cut back on Rondo threads.... I did. I had one.

2) That one Rondo thread was one too many. It was locked and I was threated with suspension again.

3) Now I politely respond in a non-rondo thread about low post basketball, that maybe driving to the hoop "inside basketball" could be part of the solution and I'm threatened with suspension again.

There are others on this board who post in favor new offensive schemes for Rondo. They never get threatened with suspension.

There are others who start threads like "Rondo needs to step up" or whatever, they are the same people saying that type of thing over and over "basically saying Rondo is really not that good" , they never get threatened with suspension.

What I see is one bad moderator, who is abusing his power. I've bent over backwards to accommodate to his wishes.

But so far, no one has told me what is wrong with my posting below:

It is short, direct, to the point and relevant.

00000000000000000000000000000000000

Rather than calling it low post scoring, you could call it "inside scoring". The alternative to having a low post scorer, and we really don't have one, is driving to the hoop. [KG and Wallace don't like playing down low and Perk isn't consistent enough]

Thats what a number of people have been advocating. Use Rondo to create an "inside game" for the Celtics. It's not just Rondo layups. Its Rondo driving the middle and hitting a big man or cutter for an easy shot. That could be our "low post game".

Once again you've a skewed perspective. If you are annoying the crap out the the target crowd of a privately owned opinion board (opinion is the key word here.. right and wrong seldom enters into the conversation) then that private board has the right to warn and remove you. It's that simple. Even simpler for you is stop seeing this as some sort of "truth" crusade and realize that your just stating your opinion, that we understand it, and move on to a new topic... then you'll be a reasonable poster like everyone else and this won't even be an issue.

You're just using this in a selective manner to make yourself look like some sort of martyr. This, by itself, is a reasonable post. But it's not by itself, nor was your locked Rondo post "one" post, it was the last in a series of many.

Seriously, let it go and move on. Post about other things for a while and leave this subject alone for a week or 2. I'd guess if you do that a post like the one above it probably won't be an issue (disclaimer-I'm not a mod nor am I trying to speak for or think I am a mod, I'm guessing).

What you need to grasp here is this isn't about a difference of opinion, I think Rondo could be used more aggressively myself though I think Doc is a good (though imperfect like everyone else) coach. But even though I agree with some of what you say, you've obviously got under my skin and others by turning your points into a sort of high-handed rhetoric and coming back to it over and over again.

I'm guessing no, but tell me if I'm wrong.

So I can't post on a perfectly relevant topic on the board.

So if I post on anything related to Rondo, or driving to the hoop, or creating an alternative form of inside play to low post basketball, I'm doing something awful.

But anyone else can post on those topics, no problem.

That doesn't seem absurd to you?

I feel like a martyr. My first threat with suspension was for quoting someone elses words back to him. Do you know how nuts that felt.

I was told I had too many Rondo strings, so reduced it to ONE. Just one active Rondo string on the first page of this board. That one string was locked. There were other Rondo strings at that time. Some with names like "Rondo needs to step up". But they weren't locked, my one string was. And again threatened with suspension.

So now I have no Rondo strings. I make a relevant post in an interesting topic. A post that would have drawn no attention if anyone else had made it. I'm threatened with suspension again.

I do feel like a martyr.

I think the fact that canman (or any other mod) hasn't locked this thread shows that their is no mod with a power trip on this board. wolves2011, you made your points and people read them. some people agree more disagree. maybe if you realized that the way you are making your points is alienating people and making them less inclined to agree with you and decided to change your delivery, you wouldn't get reactions to your posts about voting you off the forum.

additionally, i think bad-tomma's post is excellent. the comparisons that wolves2011 draws are patently and absurd and should profound offend the sensibilities of anyone with any historical sense. this is a basketball forum, dude, not the new york review of books. we are talking about the boston celtics, not the most pressing issues of our times. take your self less seriously. the way you argue for rondo, it seems like your love for him is a central part of your identity. this is a place for casual discussion. we're blessed with a number of good posters who say genuinely insightful things. please don't ruin this place of conversation for the people who like to come here to get a couple chuckles and some good analysis.

if you really are "outta here" then leave, nobody's going to beg you to stay. as tommy says "go home to your mother 'cause no one loves you here."

Good riddance. too bad you are too much of an attention whore to actually leave the board. You have to be one of the most anooying people in this boards history. You just don't get it. It's not about what you are saying, It's all about how you say it. You act like a spoiled 12 year old. This thread is just another example of that.

I really hate people like you. You are the guy who likes to antagonize everyone and when people finally call you out on your bull, You whine like a little baby how everyone is so mean to you. It's pretty pathetic. Hopefully for your sake, You are just an annoying middleschool/highschool kid, because if you are over the age of 20, what a pathetic life you must live.

Last post for me in this, you're obviously not reading them anyways. Sure there is a disparity, but it is one you've created and that you need to remedy. It won't be hard, just let the Rondo thing go for a while and stop being so damned dramatic about everything. The mods owe you nothing, they are here to watch out for the board and many have complained about you. It's up to you to change that, not anyone else. This is just a message board on the internet, remember that. Not a crusade ground, not a place where some revelation is going to change the fortune of the Celtic's for the better or worse.

I'm out, I'm really just trying to talk sense into you wolves but this is cutting into my busy Saturday morning schedule of drinking coffee, playing video games and looking up porn.

I am a fellow member of the Rondo die-hard fan club, but you've entered this message board like a 13-year old who just watched his first game coming into a room full of grizzled old fans and telling them that they either agree with your perspective or they're wrong.

Part of a mod's job is keeping the social fabric of the forum together and posters who don't want to talk about anything but their pet topic and don't really care to hear opinions that don't confirm theirs tend to fray that delicate fabric. If the mod doesn't step in, fiesty posters start dedicating all of their energies to humiliating or quieting the annoying new entrant and, given human appetite for drama, these tedious arguments start to dominate the board and leave intelligent conversation in the distant background.

Unless you are supremely brilliant and charismatic and hilarious, you usually have to earn the ear of your audience by listening, learning and leaving perceived slights to your favorite player unanswered until people care enough to do the same for you.

With how a good portion of this board responds to you, if anyone but canman was in his position, you'd already be gone. The general consensus is that the board doesn't want you here. Even the Rondo-supporters want you gone at this point. You spam your love affair for him and have to draw everything back to him. I'm pretty sure you were only "threatened" with a suspension for your spamming, not your opinion.

You wrote about feeling like a martyr, then wrote a bunch of non-sense and then had the audacity to write it again. Did you just hear that word recently and figured it sounded cool, so you had to use it? Because like OBisHalJordan said, you sound like a moron comparing yourself to someone who was not figuratively, but was LITERALLY killed for the way they believed. We all know if you somehow ever got banned from this board, you'd make a new e-mail address and create a new username "Wolves2012", so stop being so overdramatic. And FWIW, I am a huge Rondo supporter.
