Next 3 Road Games as Measuring Stick

Post#1 » by exculpatory » Mon Nov 30, 2009 4:31 am

I think the next 3 road games will give us an even clearer picture of where we are as a TEAM - albeit still in the first quarter of the regular season:

Bobcats are playing very well of late - since the addition of Captain Jack. They can throw Jax and Slash at the Truth. Felton is an above average point.
Spurs have won 5 straight, Duncan is Duncan and no one should ever take the Spurs at home lightly. Not sure if Manu is playing? Anyone?
Thunder (as Jammer astutely noted in a different thread) have an interesting, energetic, talented, athletic young team. Durant is otherworldly, Green is solid and so is Westbrook.

IMO, we will win all 3, but none will be blowouts. I hope what we saw from KG tonight is a valid sign that he is making his way back to the real RG. One thing is for sure - same old mantra - we need to bring it on D for longer and longer stretches. Against the Raptors we did it during the third quarter. Tonight, we did it for the last 4 minutes of the first half, and for the last 6 minutes of the game. How about shooting for at least 24/48 minutes during these games. Please???

P.S. Pats-Saints tomorrow will be an awesome game. Once upon a time, I played some heavy duty football, but I do not watch it much. This football game I will watch.

Yup. Road games against young athletic teams, both of which are playing well. We have had some trouble putting away these kinds of teams.

Felton has been awful this year. Wallace on the other hand has been killing opposing threes. I wouldn't call the next three games as a measuring stick, but they'll be interesting to watch.

I think the stretch in January where play the Raptors twice, Atlanta twice, Miami, the Nets, the Bulls and the Mavs in like 15 days is a better measuring stick.
