Maybe it's me but something just doesn't seem quite fair....now I know there is probably a very good reason and it goes on every year and it will even out in the end....I think I have may have heard some of the answers but it still looks like giving a head start..........

TEAM RECORD HOME GAMES AWAY GAMES
Bos 16-4 10 10
Cleve 15-5 10 10
Orl 16-4 9 11

LAL 16-3 15 4
Den 15-5 10 10
Phoe 15-6 7 14
Dal 14-7 9 12

Ding......ding......winner.....winner......chicken dinner.

I was looking at the same thing this morning. It's kinda shocking. Maybe LA isn't quite as good as some think, and maybe Phoenix is even better. Also the Spurs have had 12 home games to 7 roadies, and have a 9-8 record. That surprising to me, I thought they'd be better, but I guess they still have plenty of time to mesh all of their new parts together.

I already stated that was one argument that would be made......the team that gets to stay home all the time gets more practice time and alot of rest....less travel etc.....no one is crying.
We don't play in the West....it's the other Westerns teams problem......I would like to see your reaction Tony if for only 1 year the shoe was on the other foot.......

Brah........ Look at the complete schedule. We will get hit with a lot of road games and back to backs come the second half of the season. Like I said it caps out the same with every team. Look at our schedule come Sat we have 5 away games with two back to backs in those five games.

I'm not sure why this is unfair since it all balances out by the end of the season. The Lakers have had a favorable schedule to start the season but will spend most of January and March on the road, and will be on the road for the majority of this month as well. March will be especially tough for them as they play 11 of 15 on the road.

That's nice.....been there done that......just saying.....it just looks like what it looks like....a break is given every year for a team to get it's **** in order before it hits the road. That's what it looks like especially when it's done every year.

It's not that its unfair, but it may give a skewed opinion on certain teams. This doesn't matter at all really, but teams that have played well so far but only at home, may not be quite as good as they are touted. Ultimately it will even out so we will see if certain teams' success was largely because of a favorable schedule or are they really just that good.

It's true, the Lakers have had a favorable home schedule and have squeezed out a couple of close wins. Yet, from what I've seen I don't think they've been playing their best ball yet, and for that matter neither have the Celtics.

FWIW, I prefer having the home games come later in the season. Laker's schedule doesn't give them any advantage.

It's certainly not unfair that L.A. has had a ton of home games as it'll even out but it's probably made it a bit easier to work out the early season kinks.

I'm impressed with Orlando's record given the home-away split too.

Tony......

Not trying to deny the elephant in the room.....what I was trying to point out was it's not the Lakers fault.....they have nothing to do with making the schedule out......it's the NBA.

Maybe I needed to be more clear.

Someone clear this up for me.....

Isn't TonyMontana a Lakers fan? Why's he posting so much on our boards? :o

One can definitely argue that it is better to have the home games earlier rather than later, as the end of the regular season is a joke with all the tanking.

But whatever. Lakers will be nearly back to even by Feb 1st and also have an 8-game road trip coming up.

Had they played 10 games at home and 10 away, I doubt they would have the best record in the league right now. But it will eventually catch up to them..I just think it's unfair that they give the Lakers the edge over Boston and Orlando right now, and don't even consider the fact they have player so many home games. But ehhh..it's whatever..nobody really cares.

Everyone knows Tony is a closet Celtics fan. Know he'll try to pass it off as some "know thy enemy", Art of Ware ish but I heard he wears shamrock underwear.
