Magic center Dwight Howard apparently likes to spit on the basketball before opponents attempt foul shots.

Scott Ostler of the San Francisco Chronicle wrote on Monday that Howard asked the referee for the ball on Saturday night every time a Warriors player stepped to the charity stripe.

Howard would take the ball, spit on it and flip it back to the referee.

"I'm just blowing on it," Howard said after the game with a smile when asked about it. "I'm putting a spell on them."

Now that's something a intimadating Center does huh?? Next thing you know he will be licking the balls..and he is pretty **** nasty if you ask me. If I'm shooting FT's, and I see him do that, I toss the **** right back on his face..nobody wants his poodle germs..wtf... I'd like to see him spit on Perk's balls..that would be something..

I think that's a conservative estimate. Last year's dunk contest, where he took off his jersey to reveal...a tighter jersey (WTF) during the competition, and his narcissistic Superman antics...he and Richard Jefferson should hook up already. Last year's dunk contest was seriously embarrassing. Thank God he's not doing them anymore (supposedly).

I remember an SI article where Rashard Lewis talks about how Dwight loves to fart in practice, thinks it's really funny. Hilarious.

Best part how he was supposed to be this big Christian, and then he goes and knocks up one of the Magic cheerleaders.

He's still a likeable guy and I've enjoyed seeing his antics in the dunk contest, but he sounds like an immature idiot in a lot of ways.

I was reading an article in sporting news where he says how he's great because of hard work; I can't think of a guy who relies more on natural talent and less on skill. Of course, you don't get a physique like that by being lazy I suppose.

He doesn't spit on the balls you ****. All he does is blow on it. He does his own thing where he puts a "spell" on the ball. You honestly think if he literally spit on the balls, the refs would leave that alone? You think the players would be willing to touch the ball if he actually spit on the balls? Dwight Howard blows on the ball and "talks to it" as some sort of ritual (don't ask me). I've seen him do it lots of times already. If he were really "spitting" on it, it would've been talked about a lot earlier than now.

he should spend less time on hexes and spells, and more time on a post move of some kind.
