OT: McHale on Lebron's dancing...

Joakim Noah didn't appreciate LeBron James' dancing last week and it is unlikely last year's MVP would get away with doing that 20 years ago.

"If a guy was doing the Riverdance like that, coach would come over and say, 'Who's got the fewest amount of fouls of my big fellas?' " said ex-Celtic and TNT analyst Kevin McHale. "If you raised your hand, he would say, 'We will let him drive and then we will throw him on the ground.'

"When he is laying there we would say, 'Do you feel like dancing now?'

"And that pretty much solved the dancing problem."

Agreed, but he forgot to mention Herr Stern would suspend the player 30 games for decking the Chosen One.

I hazard a guess it wouldn;y have mattered how many fouls they had....Bird or Mchale would have coat hangered the dancer......Then Larry would spend teh rest of teh game seeking that plater out to break down one on one.....

All the while lil 44 would be on the bench yipping.......

The NBA is for p*ssies these days. Sorry to put it so crudely but that's how I see it.

I miss the old days wherein basketball was actually a contact sport. Players got physical and got into each other's mugs. These days the referees treat players like fragile little girls who can't take a bump.

The NBA, where you end up fouling 275-pound muscle freaks like LeBron by breathing on them happens.

it still should happen next time he does it.

the nba needs another artest/everyone brawl where the king **** gets pounded so the nba can decide to give him techs for taunting, which is what he is doing.

what did the bulls have to lose, i hate noah, but i'd hate him less if he had the balls to floor lbj.

LeQueen would be so like "I'm telling Nike on you and you'll never get a deal!" He's like "I'm just a poor widdle 6-8 275 freight train and should get all the buckets I want! Hmmf! Get me to the line Daddy Stern!"

Please.

I actually am starting to like Noah.

Rasheed is one of the few players with the balls to say what's on his mind. WTF has happened? Probably the insane salaries.

The refs ruin games by using the subjective nature of fouls to self-serving ends and do so with impunity in most cases. I'd clean house if I was Stern, but Stern is probably in someone's pocket, too.

There must be at least one thug in the D League who would be willing to come up at some point in the season on a ten day contract, who would be willing to drop him - if he tried the LeDance. Just even for the notoriety and street cred.

It was bad karma that caught up to the Cavaliers last season. The same could happen this season if their players don't watch themselves.

It is interesting how Ochocinco gets fined 30,000 dollars for wearing a hat, while LeBron can Riverdance during a blowout without repercussion. I guess different sports, different leaders...different agendas....

That's exactly what I've been thinking. I'm sure there are many who would be willing even jsut for the 15 minutes of fame.

Lebron's a coward. Only reason he left the free throw line to jaw at Noah was because he knew Noah wasn't going to leave the bench. Lebron wasn't going to do squat. He's a fake tough guy. Just look back at the Deshawn Stevenson incident. Lebron talked some junk. Deshawn Stevenson talked more junk.........and then Lebron got Jay-Z to record a dis track against him. Joakim better be careful, or he might hear his name in a song.

Not if you do it the way McHale is talking about. You might get a game for taunting his ass when he is on the ground. The key is to do it the way McHale described in the context of a play not throwing punches and acting a fool.

Now beyond the fact that LeBron isn't going to take it lying down last I checked Shaq is still 7'2" and pushing 400lbs so if you want payback on Rondo the next time he does his little behind the back fake I guess by all means.

If you remember all those wars back in the 80's and 90's the guys that start swinging are the little guards because they are taking a beaten when this **** starts.

Awww sh**, McHale is gangsta!

This is 100% the way things should be policed, now and forever. Stern should treat these players like men and not schoolboys. The McHale method nips the whole taunting issue in the bud much more effectively than a technical foul does. Plus it's way more entertaining for the fans.
