Do you all agree, or disagree? It's good to see that Pierce got acknowledged... But I feel he might not have had he not won a NBA championship. Whatever. He'll still retire as one of the most underrated stars of the game for his generation. Camby's another one... He's overshadowed by fellow big men of the mid nineties like Duncan and R. Wallace.

Ahem... A few of these players named haven't been in the league ten seasons. Yao, LeBron, Carmelo and Wade are from the 2000's draft. And everyone else is from the nineties.

First Team

F - Duncan
F - Garnett
C - S. O'Neal
G - Kidd*

G - Iverson*

Third Team

1. It's an All- Decade Team (January 2000 thru December 2009)

2. Duncan is listed as a forward

3. There's no way Pierce gets the nod over KG, Duncan or LeBron. And as much as I don't care for Nowitski's game, I understand why he was voted Second Team.

4. As great as Pierce has been, 3rd team is where he belonged. Although Personally I would take him over Nowitski, I understand why the voters didn't. On the Second Team, Nowitski is the PF and LeBron James is the SF. On the First Team, Garnett is the SF and Duncan the PF.

5. Keep in mind that Garnett would probably get the nod as Defensive Player of the Decade. Ahead of Ben Wallace, a 4 Time Defensive Player of the Year.

I'd put Howard over Ming for the second team (one Finals appearance > one first round exit) and put Billups on the third team over Ray (arguably the best player on a team that won the championship, went to another Finals, and he's been to the conference finals for seven straight years).

I agree with most of the rest. Including Kidd over Nash, even though I know that's been subject to some criticism.

(EDIT: Sorry for the earlier triple post, forum was lagging on me.)

I don't think guys that were drafted in the 2000's should be on the list, unless it was the '00 draft class.

The 2000 draft was awful, it only produced two All-Stars, albeit one-time All-Stars.

Here's how the list should be, in my opinion.

First Team - Duncan, Garnett, S. O'Neal, Kidd and K. Bryant
Second Team - Nowitzki, Pierce, Camby, Nash and R. Allen
Third Team - R. Wallace, Hill, B. Wallace, B. Davis and Iverson

Strongly disagree. Just because a player might've been drafted in 2003, doesn't mean they can't have a huge impact on that decade.

And this shows why. Because if you do try to do it like that, you get guys like Hill, Mourning, Davis, and Camby who've (not going to bother verifying this) played fewer games this decade than someone like Lebron.

SI has a 1st and 2nd team also, with PP and KG the 2nd team forwards. They put Dirk as a 3rd forward on the 2nd team and don't bother with another C.

1st team LBJ/duncan/shaq/kobe/nash
2nd team pp/kg/dirk/wade/kidd

Neither list seems bad. Not sure about AI over Wade.

Not sure why anybody is bringing up Mourning, he really didn't do anything in this decade. His best year was 15 and 8 and he was always hurt.

Well, considering that CBS is listing players drafted during the nineties, then I'm looking at their statistics from the nineties as well. If "All-Decade Teams" is to mean only what was done during the years of 2000's, then Mourning doesn't deserve to be mentioned. I was looking at it wrong...

I can see why B. Wallace was mentioned over him then.

Okay, this makes more sense for me as oppose to a first, second and third team.

Starters

Duncan, Garnett, S. O'Neal, Kidd and K. Bryant

Bench

Nowitzki, Brand, Camby, Pierce, Nash, R. Allen and Iverson

DNPs

B. Wallace, B. Davis and R. Wallace
