Is Bass injured or something? Didn't see him on the bench players.

WOW...GREAT game thread..I like the little Christmas decorations..lol...too bad that's not going to be our starting 5 though.. :(

Anyways..not very confident for this game. No Paul Pierce..no legit SF to replace him with..KG playing with a bruised thigh...Rasheed Wallace was hopping around in pain the last game...(Didn't really see what happened to him though)..meanwhile on the Magic, they are 100% healthy(I think)..Nelson is back...they are at home...their fans treat this game like it's the NBA finals and would probably all die if they manage to lose this..so...our chances are pretty slim..we need everybody to step up a bit, and our bench has to be perfect...

Gameplan: don't let Scal play the 4 is Lewis is in...matter of fact..don't let Scal play at all...give Billy some time on Pietrus...stick to your man, SPECIALLY Redick, Lewis and Anderson out on the perimeter..and FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, don't let that **** Pietrus get those WIDE OPEN corner 3's like he had in the last game..let Howard play 1-on-1 and get his sloppy ass, rim breaking brick hook shots up..there's no point in doubling him and giving up a wide open 3..

I got too much green blood running through my veins to go against this team, even though we are so short handed...so..Celtics by 3, Ray Allen with 37 pts and the game winning buzzer beating 3 in Carter's face.. :D ...lol
WHAT THEY GON’ SAY NOW? ‎ THANK YOU TRUTH!

Nice G.T West. This is going to be an interesting game. Cant wait for our games to start. I wish it wouldve been the Lakers and Cs instead, but its all good hopefully in the finals.

Well, Pierce is out. I have a feeling KG will be out too....

Rondo needs to be aggressive, it will be interesting to see if he is intimidated by Howard again...

No Pierce, possibly no KG, I say Celtics win by 3. :D

The number one thing I am going to look for is to see if Rondo is aggressive or if he acts like a frightened school girl like he normally does against Dwight Howard. Win or lose Rondo has to be aggressive. If you see Rondo taking a lot of jumpers then thats a bad sign.

Great game thread westthebest. :D

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone! :D

The first game I'll be seeing and the team is injured. Oh well. I still think the Magic could win it all this year so I'm expecting a loss, but I hope to be surprised.

Doc said KG will play tomorow. Wouldnt be shocked if Glen Davis gets some minutes either. Baby went the full practice and according to Doc "he sucked, but he didn't injure himself so thats good." Pierce might also be back sooner then expected.

Garnett is playing in Orlando, and maybe Baby too.

Celtics get good news on Garnett

Kevin Garnett, who missed the Celtics' last game with a bruised thigh, went through a full practice and is expected to play Friday.

"I'm playing," Garnett said. "That's all that matters. Details are not important."

"He looked great, he'll be fine, so that's the best news," Celtics coach Doc Rivers told the Boston Globe of Garnett.

Garnett's return is welcome news with Paul Pierce out of the lineup after having arthroscopic irrigation on his right knee to fix an infection that was discovered following Tuesday's win over the Indiana Pacers.

In addition to Garnett, the Celtics might also have Glen Davis back in the lineup. Davis, out all season with a broken hand suffered in a fight with a friend, practiced Thursday, however, the Celtics haven't confirmed if he will play against the Magic.

it's good to hear Baby is getting close.

I'll wait on K.G.

If we have Baby,Sheldon,Wallace,Perk... that's still a damn fine big man rotation. Anything without Scal is a blessing. Hopefully Baby will be ready to contribute during the West coast trip, and hopefully that means fewing minutes for KG for the rest of the year.

Awesome game thread. We're going to need huge games from our frontcourt and Ray is going to have to step up in Pierce's absence.

This is asking a lot, but an old school nugget'esque game from tony allen w/ a win would be quite the christmas present.

Shame that Pierce isn't gonna be around, but hey whatever, I'm sure it'll still be a good match-up.

Oh and Merry Christmas to all you folks over here on the Celtics board :D

looks like baby's being activated even though according to rivers he "sucked" at practice.
