Good luck tomorrow night. If Scal can somehow contain Bargnani, then you might be able to hold us under 100.

Wow..we are falling apart.

Better now than later though I guess.
As for Giddens, everybody here knows that's my new binky ever since Gomes left..lol. He hasn't played much, but I think if he doesn't force anything, he should be fine. And I hope he doesn't play scared like he does sometimes.
But wow..If somebody told me Rondo was going to stay out, I would bet my left pinky that Lester Hudson would play..when you're the only thing even CLOSE to a back up PG on your team, and you don't start even when your starting PG gets injured, and your coach chooses a SF over you, than wow...I don't even know what to say. He must suck in practice.
'Tony Allen off the foot pass to the front row seats FTW'....

And I Just realized we are playing the Raptors. Woooow...usually we whup their asses so their fans don't come around here..but tomorrow..they actually might win, and we will have to put up with the worst trolls in realgm.

I bet we still win. Ray and Sheed and Perk have to be fed up with losing. Ray and Perk alone are probably more talented than the Raptors.

I've noticed that when given playing time, Giddens runs around a lot---without actually doing anything,

Hmm, well every fan likes seeing a young player give it his all. It's very admirable even if it results in a loss.
We won't have a PG though, so that sucks. And we'll invariably still try to run a controlled pick setting offense for Ray Allen... but without anyone who can pass that's going to be hard to do.

Who's playing point? Tony?
Why not start Eddie over Giddens?

We need to have someone come in off the bench and be able to contribute to the 2nd unit.

Exactly. Eddie will probably play alot more minutes than Giddens (unless JR plays well). Scal will too...Doc just tried to 'balance' things up a bit.
Thinking about it though, I wouldn't be surprised if Scal actually started at SF tomorrow. Ray, Tony, Scal, Sheed, Perk..would make more sense since Doc plays leprechaun boy more than JR. Hopefully I'm wrong.

I'm kind of surprised that Giddens is starting rather than Hudson.
Maybe the idea is that we can "hide" a giddens at SF more easily than we can a hudson at PG.

this one could be ugly...if rondo isnt going to play vs toronto why the hell did he play against phoenix when everyone thought we were going to lose anyway? Intriguing though. I will watch this game solely to see what giddens and hudson(i assume he will play some real minutes) do in this opportunity.

^^ Bill Walker probably plays some decent minutes too. I'm just hoping they play better than they did in garbage time last game...Hudson and Walker looked horrible out there...

Right, he does nothing except defend and rebound.

Hopefully Giddens does well. He has all the physical tools anyway.
The fact hes playing PG is interesting. Shows how bad our back up pg situation actually is and doesnt put much faith in Eddie House.
The Raptors have also been playing pretty good basketball lately, and who knows.. maybe 6 teams in the east will finish .500 or better.

I hope Danny's hiding Hudson behind Giddens like he did with Rondo behind Telfair, because I can't think of any other scenario where this decision makes sense.

Gidden's is getting a shot because of what he did in garbage time during the Suns game. Doc complemented him after the game as one of the few bright spots! Hopefully he shines but I don't expect him to play a lot just cause he's starting! This also means Tony at point which is a little frightening because of his Tony plays, but this could be a blessing in disguise!

If Giddens starts and gets minutes....at least we get to see if he can play at this level or not....I fera not...but hope he shows up majorly and gets a good stat line

It will be an interesting game to watch. Resting everyone now hopefully will prove to be a smart move down the line if we are healthy in the playoffs.
