Props to Perk

I have to finally give Perkins credit for becoming a bonafide NBA "Potential allstar" center. And tonight just sealed the deal. I had it in my head for the longest time that he was unworthy of due credit. The guy has decent talent but he's squeezed the most out of his talent with pure hard work and conditioning. His defensive play alone IMO warrants all star consideration. Everything else is gravy.
I can name off the top of my head a dozen potentially franchise changing centers in the past ten years that simply wont or can't put in the level of effort Perk has demonstrated. The Celtics are lucky to have him. So heres to you Perk. I'm sorry I said those things about you three years ago.

Perk's been one of my favorite players (probably favorite) since 2007 and it's been amazing to watch him keep on growing and thriving even more in a winning environment. He's the ideal role player to have at center. I don't see him ever being an all star, at least not with Howard, Lopez, and Bogut in the East at the moment, but I'll always be glad to see him in green for the next several years.

My favorite too, I'd love to say I told you so but I've been wrong on my fair share of young guys so I'm going to refrain. Perk is pure blue collar.

I think there's a slim chance he could be an all-star this year. Dwight is in, no doubt, and probably Bogut. Brooke Lopez is good but his team is awful. If Bogut makes it then gets hurt I could see a scenario where Perk makes the all-star team.

It has been a pleasure seeing Perkins progress over the years. The player he was physically, mentally, and athletically then to what he has become now, the change has been amazing. One thing that has always remained is the work ethic. He definitely is a favorite of mine, and i'm all for a "props" thread on Perk.

My favorite thing about Perk is his constant improvement. His mentality is his most glaring strength.

It's not my favorite thing, but I absolutely love how Perk has made obvious, tangible improvements to his game every year since being drafted.
