Lastest news on KG- out another 10 days

It was reported that KG is going to be out another 10-14 days. Once again it makes the coaching staff, mainly Doc seem like a liar. Doc stated that KG would initially be out about 10 days. Now after being out 10 days, he is saying that KG may be out another 10-14 days.
It seems like last year on how they lied about KG's injury. His return kept being delayed. Despite this delay, let's all just stay positve and hope KG comes back healthy.

I wish they'd just be up front with us. Maybe they are but after last year its hard to believe anything anyone says about KG anymore.

Everybody getting all worked up over the bench, and how we have no back up PG, and all that small crap..this here is the only thing that I'm worried about...without a healthy Kevin Garnett, it's over no matter how many back up PG's, or how deep your bench is.

I'm really getting worried about this situation. It feels all too familiar. Last year, I feel like these same reports came out about KG coming back in a couple weeks. The reports kept coming, repeating themselves over and over, and then out of the blue - KG is done for the year. It's probably not that extreme this time, but it would not shock me whatsoever if it is way more serious than they are leading on.

This group has peaked - there's a chance we could still win a championship, but the ideal time to break up the team (if one were so inclined) was about a month ago.

your relentless optimism is always appreciated kefa, but it still doesnt easy my worries, especially since the "lying" trend has shown its face again

The problem is the team gives too much info.........they try to keep us too updated. They are at the mercy of the medical staff. If dates change....they change. If I were in charge....I would give the longest date because no one ....at least most on this board appreciates being updated. They look at it as being lied to. If I thought KG was to be out 2 weeks I would say 4 weeks....because if the medical staff comes back at says well there has been a delay of say 4 days well most folks here would call me a liar. Who cares for that. I wouldn't tell you ****.
ps.....KG returned to practice today

Then if I follow your line of thinking......Danny is a liar, so KG/Wallace/Daniels and anyone who ever gets hurt are all done for the season because we are lied to.....or is just KG.

As I said earlier, let's all stay positive and expect the best. Worrying never solves anything, it actually draws more bad situations. We are still a good team, let's enjoy this moment.

If he's not in uniform by the beginning of February, that's when I'll officially join the "Sky is Falling" bandwagon and start crying for a rebuild. Until then, all I can do is sit, wait, and help the cause by visualizing KG's knee healing up. Distance healing FTW!!!!

Can we trade him to Minny for Big Al? Dreaming!!
Yeah, Im a lil concerned.....he is missing alot of basketball...and yes I understand he is coming back from surgery this year....but he hasn't been playing great....
Can anyone else see a world where KG backs up Rasheed off the bench?

I really hope this isn't a 2 weeks ---> 1 month ---> done-for-season thing.
Dude had surgery and rehab... what's the deal?

I think that KG will play this year, even if injured. He knows time is running out.
I think they would even beat an Orlando or Atlanta team without KG if all players were healthy. They wouldn't beat Cleveland or the Lakers without him though. I think they'd beat both with him, even if he's just 80% or so

I presume he'll make it back this year, at least briefly like last year...I have higher hopes than we did last year.
But I sadly realized that, I have the feeling that...he will retire in 2011 at the latest.
And our highest priority should be acquiring some sort of replacement to groom, some kind of dynamic PF. Like I said in another thread, other than KG, I think the last PF we had with athleticism and size was Jerome Moiso. Undersized plodders / adequately sized chuckers are fine for depth and backups while the big ticket is still around, but eventually we'll have to fill in the x for our rondo + x foundation.
PF's aren't quite as hard to find as Cs, so with Perk around, we might be able to fill the hole by drafting shrewdly in the late 1st round, maybe getting a Millsap type (yes, I realize he's kind of undersized as well.)

Consider this a warning Kefa.

You can forget about this grooming a replacement stuff. The only way you find a replacement for a talent like KG is you get a top pick in a draft AND its in a good year. With no HS draft picks talent like him isn't going to fall past the second slot.
Its very rare to have an uninterrupted string of athletic dominance for a team. Teams have up and down cycles and after the big 3 are gone I fully expect a dry spell. Hell even Tommy Brady looks like he is on the downside now. All good things come to an end..

Guys this isn't really new news. Doc said last week he would be out another two weeks. This is that same timeline. If they push it back again, Then consider me worried.
