I would love to get Hinrich for some our expirings but Salmons stinks this year so my thoughts on this deal is a big fat no. I would have to consider Hinrich and Thomas though.

I don't know exactly what to make of Hinrich. I like him but he's been having a rather iffy season.

I kind of like Salmons but he doesn't excite me and I hardly view him as an upgrade over Marquis Daniels.

Substitute Ty Thomas or better yet Luol Deng for Salmons and I'm on board, though.

last five games salmons had good numbers.
I'd consider Hinrich, Salmons, Thomas and current 1st rd pick for Allen Giddens and a future 2nd rd pick.
9 mil and almost 6 mil and I think we get right to qualify offer for thomas for 6 mil jumping our total to 84 mil plus tax 100 mil+ with 3 draft picks not counting on our payroll we would have 10 of roster spots covered and need three more spot for league min.
A log jam would start for the pf and c spot not helping at all unless another trade happened. With house, allen and scalabrine we could in theory trade them for lesser extended contracts to round out the 3 remaining roster spots and/or include bbd to rid 3 mil off our books.
You Know WHAT TO MANY IF ON THIS ONE TOO,NO DEAL

No. Ray has referee cred. - and that puts him a mile above either of those Bulls. If you want to win a championship you have to have players the refs BELIEVE can beat the opposing team or any team. That's why I like it when we go for a lot of regular season wins and acquire star players. Even Rasheed isn't so bad - yeah they T him up but I think refs respect his playing ability..

Not Salmons. Hinrich and Deng work would do it for me.

I would not do any of these deals unless Ray is bought out and comes back. I know Chi fans dont like that but it would get them out of some contracts.

Playoffs come down to 5 on 5 and Ray is better than just about everyone on the bulls roster.

So you trade a great starter for a "great sub". That somehow seems wrong to me. And I am being nice saying it that way. Even 2 great 'subs' is not worth one great starter.

Wow... that deal is beyond laughable. The bird rights alone on Ray Allen are worth more than that package.

No. However, I would do a Davis, Scalabrine, T. Allen and Giddens for Hinrich and a second round pick.

No way would I take on Salmons' player option without a draft pick coming Boston's way.

Absolutely would take on Hinrich for expirings though.

The real issue with Hinrich is whether or not he could effectively defend the SG spot in Boston at 6'3." His splits as a starter are still outstanding over 389 games he has put up 14.5/3.6/6.4 on 41% shooting and 38% from 3. He is also coming close to those numbers again as a starter this year.

People need to stop trying to trade Glen Davis to teams that are trying to get under the cap.

We aren't moving Ray unless it makes us better now and the next couple years at least, so no to this deal. Our best suitable trade partner for a Ray deal is someone that's looking to win now, wants his expiring, and possibly his bird rights for a reduced deal down the road. We're one of the teams that would want all three, so we'd need something solid in return.

Scalabrine, Tony Allen and Eddie House for Hinrich works.

It frees up cap space for Chicago and gives Boston a reliable backup at point guard.

Danny get it done.
