T.J. Ford might be bought out

He'd be an alright addition to the team. Right now he's their 3rd string point guard behind Watson and A.J. Price.

Haven't seen much of him this year. Does anyone know how far he's dropped off from his peak on court performance of a few years back?

He's not really the type of backup the Celtics would likely be looking for (range shooter, solid ball handler, defender) but if he still has most of the ability he once had he'd surely help the Celtics off the bench.

He has to be better then House. We can't keep having Rondo play so many minutes. I know he's young, but even young guys need rest.

Would pick him up in an instant. I don't care if he can't stretch the floor and wouldn't be the ideal backup to complement Rondo, he'd be the best point guard that'd get bought out this year if he does. I have a feeling he'd go back to Toronto though, where he worked very well. He just didn't fit into the Obie system.

realistically with his speed and passing ability you could just try and run the offense the exact same way they do with rondo (not that he could do it as well obviously, but he has the tools to at least be decent)

dont think it will happen, but id take it for sure

He is not going to get bought out. He has a player's option next year for $8.5 mill. Indy would have to give him almost all that money and they won't do that. The only way they move him is with a trade.

Maybe he'd give them a deal for letting him out of his contract. This way he doesn't have to be on a bad team as a third stringer. Multiple reports have said that they can't trade him because of his contract.

He won't get bought out... but he might be an ideal 6th man for a contender. I still like him as a player, even though he might be/have been over his head.

Unless you have a source, this is purely your own speculation. I didn't know he had an option for next year, can't see him getting bought out with that. If he does give them a huge deal to buy him out, it's so he could restore his value, in which case he'd definitely go back to somewhere like Toronto where he was successful and had a large role.

Why would he go back to Toronto? They've already got like 3 point guards on their roster (Calderon, Jack, Banks). No one will take Calderons contract, he's being overpaid.
