I just read that the Pistons might move to Pittsburgh. A positive from it is that they have better fans in Pittsburgh, but a big negative is that they have so much history in Michigan.

Teams with great history in one city such as Lakers, Celtics, Pistons, Bulls, Knicks, 76ers should never move. I think it's a disrespectful thing to do with the fans of the team...imagine us having to call the Celtics, the 'Pittsburgh Celtics'..**** pathetic...

Its like when the Browns moved to Baltimore and won a superbowl, then they get a franchise like two years later. WTF! I would be pissed if I was them.

If it did happen the league would probably have to change the Division.....switch the Raptors and the Pistons.

The Lakers already moved form Minnesota (where they won 4 titles) to a place where there are no lakes.

I know, but most of their titles were in LA, right? So they should never move again.

Why would they move? It seems like they have a really good fan base. It's not like they would sell more tickets in Pittsburgh than in Detroit..

Did you read the article or just the title?

The article is just speculation that the Pistons could move since they're up for sale, and that Pittsburgh and Kansas City are cities that might have room for a team.

It's not even close to an actual rumor saying the ''Pistons might move to Pittsburgh''.

I really doubt the Celtics will move. If the NBA stopped generating revenue from Boston, it would probably already be down to a 10 team league by then.

That's funny. I'm a Celtics fan because Pittsburgh doesn't have NBA. I root for Pittsburgh in every other sport. I'm actually closer to Cleveland but as a kid I loved the Black & Gold of the Steelers, Pirates & Penguins.

The team isn't even up for sale. Some reporters caught wind of Karen Davidson questioning David Stern about what she would have to do if she were interested in selling the team. Detroit beat writers took that info and ran. Now there are tons of rumors all over the place.

Now I'm not saying shes the type of person not to sell the team. I've been fearful of it for months now. But nothing is definite as of now. They are not currently up for sale.

If you can't afford a team, then you don't deserve one. I'm not for those crappy cities with major sports teams who can't even put out a decent team. Besides, even the Lakers moved from Minneapolis to LA, so who's to say the Pistons can't move?

It is this completely biased, uninformed stance that breed rumors and hate. You truly have no idea what the situation in Detroit is. Karen Davidson is among the top ten wealthiest owners in the NBA. It is in no way a financial issue. She is aware that the team is going to take a lot of work considering what the local economy is really isn't all that interested in basketball. She inherited the team, so I can't really blame her. However the money is not the problem and I believe that she will respected Bill by finding an instate owner who will be invested in making the team better. This is by no means an imminent thing.

And how dare you slide that knock on Detroit. You have no idea the things that have been going on here. "Those crappy cities who can't even put out a decent team". I can't believe that you have the audacity to say that. Over the past 25 years the Pistons have been one of the top four franchises in the NBA, a list that does not included your Celtics. Don't forget that it was just a couple of years ago that you team was so bad that you tanked and failed. And I have no doubt that if you hadn't been gifted those players that you would still be there.

I get that as a Celtics fan you dislike the Pistons. Trust me, I hate the Celtics, but I would never disrespect them (and thus myself) like that.

I wouldn't cry if they lost the team. Beers getting thrown on players, booing the Canadian National Anthem, and spitting on opposing players' wives while they watch their husbands play? Those hooligans caused the NBA to stop selling beer after the 3rd quarter. Yeah, I wouldn't shed a single tear for them.

Honestly, I don't know what's going on with the team sales and all that stuff and I don't really care. But the bottom line is, no matter how rich the owner is they aren't going to keep the team in spite of its losing money. Who would? Paul Allen is one of the richest men in the world, but he's certainly not going to bleed all his money through the Blazers. And the fact that it's even being discussed shows that there isn't enough fan interest to keep the team there. So why should they stay?

Besides, Pistons fans are classless fools. They have proven that time after time. If for nothing else, they deserve to have their team taken away based on their crassness.

No offense to He Filled it Up but why would you move a team from a dieing city to one that died 20 years ago. Is seems I've heard that the economy in Pittsburgh is a little better than it has been in the past but I would think there are cities with much better economies then either Detroit or Pittsburgh. I can definitively see moving out of Detroit as the 2/3 of the U.S. auto industry is about to go under.

I just don't think you'd go from there to Pittsburgh. K.C. might not be bad. They don't have a hockey team so there wouldn't be a lot of winter competition. I could also see a town like Jacksonville or Tampa Bay.

Now on to a much more important point of conversation.
