What the Celts need to do

Post#1 » by BBallMasta+ » Sat Jan 30, 2010 6:20 am

This is a Celtics team made for the playoffs and can win home or away no matter what and we have all seen that this year. We always play up to good teams and down for bad teams so I'm not concerned about any losses. They honestly could go anyway (crawford hitting half court shots and the refs IMO deciding the outcome with all their awful calls tonight for example). What we need is for Doc to man up and be the coach of this team. Play our starters around 30 minutes and don't worry about winning or losing. We can definitely win with a 30 minute game and we really only need about 12 more wins to secure even the 8th seed in the playoffs. That way every one will be well rested but not out of rhythm. It will also be a way of getting the likes of baby and eddie more PT to maybe get them back in shape and scal can get some more trade value.

Individually for our starters, Doc needs to set everybody straight, pierce needs to keep playing his game, rondo needs to get his head in the game and take over to allow pierce and ray to play their games, KG just take it one game at a time and perk needs to just keep being aggressive as the big center that nobody wants to play against.

Benchwise, Quis will come back and do his part, eddie needs a vacation to start hitting shots (although he hit a few in orlando for his sake), you guys hate on TA but I think he is doing a good job as a backup guard, especially on the defensive end (we need him to be a slasher on offense not a ball handler, baby needs to get back into the style he was playing when he used his body to shield off opponents (he's so big he can body his way in for layups), scal keep doing the little things, and sheed needs to stop complaining like a baby and beat the other team, not prove something to the refs.

I'm a dedicated Celts fan and I think we'll shape things up, I have a prediction that if the clippers are in bad position come free agent time, we are going to get marcus camby :) Possible wave of Giddens and a sign of keyon dooling too.

What we need is somebody who can put the plug on Jamal Crawford, cuz no one on our roster can apparently.
