Players I would like on C's

Post#1 » by bceltic55 » Sun Jan 31, 2010 1:27 pm

Two players that I would like DA to get this year are Renaldo Balkman, Denver good defensive player, long and underutilized in Denver. Great hustle player

Andray Blatche young long PF C who an score. Under KG he may develop into a good player.

Both have reasonable salaries, we may to take back some bad ones, but we need size and quickness to complete against the Hawks, Lakers and Orlando.

I think we can get either or both at reasonable costs.

Thoughts.

I cannot believe Balkman would cost much, he is seldom used with low salary. For Blatche I would guess BBD a #1 and maybe TA.

I'd like to see Balkman. He'd be great as a 3/4 combo off the bench. We don't have any of those types of players. Blatche would be good if the deal involved GLEN. If he wasn't involved, one of them wouldn't see PT, could be an issue.

Blatche seems like a bit of a head case.

Boston would probably have to overpay to get Balkman to be honest with you. Balkman hardly ever plays, but I am pretty sure the front office is intrigued by his talent and want him to stick around. He is somewhat in limbo right now, as I see his situation directly linked to whether Karl comes back next year or not. If we re-sign Karl, I imagine Balkman will be shipped off pretty quickly. If he isn't, I imagine they will want the new coach to integrate him into the rotation.

Fairly sure even with Fev gone and Judd suspended Richmond will be receiving another 80 point beat down like they did last season.

Giddens, TA or Eddie House for Balkman, his contract runs through 2013. I believe the salaries of one of these three will match up.

I think we'd have to offer a lot more than you would think to get either one of those players. From other trade rumors I've seen Wizards seem to want a lot more for Blatche than you might think... and like the Nuggs fan said in this thread, Balkman isn't for sale.
