No doubt Rondo. Controlled everything in this one. Props to Tony Tone.

Got to go with Rondo. Kid is just..wow...

Big ups to our two sharp shooters Eddie and Ray showing some life, TA for great defense when it mattered, and KG for showing everybody he can still be nasty.

I think we should divide this cigar amongst all nominees. Great efforts by the mentioned players. KG looked like the "old" KG, doin it all; on the low post with his trademark fader a couple times, 9 assists, crucial rebound or two, solid picks. HUGE play by TA, prolly game-saving steal on Wade. House was electric off the bench and provided a spark. Ray was solid and looked like a different player tonight. And Rondo.....Rondo was a beast! How dare anyone say he's overrated or not a top 3 PG in the NBA. Keep workin on your FTs though Rajon!

Tough win, but we actually looked great on offense tonight. Our defense was lacking. Nice to see the offense look nice for once though.

Rondo for sure. KG is moving better and better which is a good sign :D Still too unselfish and I think on the block he needs to move toward the paint instead of fading away to draw more fouls. He's fully capable.

Its funny how you can tell after about four minutes when rondo is going to have one of these kind of games. Some great plays by TA however even when he is making these plays you can understand why doc hesitates to play him, HE toes they stupidity line very closely in end of games situations.

Rondo did it all tonight, he has had other big games maybe even better stats but tonight is the first night he felt like an all star not just a guy going to the game but an all star. Maybe it was the national TV or the fact that it rolled right through the 4th quarter but thought his game was just beautiful tonight.

The flip side of that Sully is what would have happened if Pierce were healthy tonight. Rondo doesn't always play perfect, but I know I am not the only one that thinks the ball is actively taken out of his hands at the end of game with the previous two games being cases in point. heck, even tonight the few poseessions where the ball was not run through him ended poorly.

Good team win!

Ray, Eddie, KG, TA and even Rasheed and Davis played well but I got to go with Rondo.

Yeah I am sure Kenny Anderson could right a book about trying to be a pg on a team with Paul Pierce.

That said the reason that the ball is taken out of his hands is that he isn't willing to be a threat, it is an active discussion in the organization. It isn't anyone's fault it is the fact that Rondo's attitude is that there is 3 HOF's on the floor and I need to get them the ball to score in the crunch but he doesn't always recognize that he isn't being guarded or worse he is being played to pass. He needs to do what he did tonight wheel to the hoop and collapse the defense not put all the pressure on Paul, Ray or KG to make a play against a double.

Doc does not call the sets from the bench unless things are all f'd up. They call their own set based on the situation and most of that comes from Rondo. Doc was all over him tonight about the fact that basically Paul isn't there tonight we need you and he responded, he is growing.

It was awesome.

Rondo was great but his free throw shooting is just horrible...

Every time he misses a FT I want to slap him! Maybe then he would put a little more thought into his routine! This is just not acceptable! Go back to the old FT routine Rajon!

Rondo

Agree on the horrendous FT shooting, though...I want to believe Tommy when he said, before halftime, that someday Rondo will be a great FT shooter, but there has been ZERO improvement in it thus far in his career so I don't have much faith
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Rondo called the team out and they respond--gotta give him the cigar for that.

But there were big performances all around. Ray played well (though the ball still sticks in his hands), House finally his shots, Baby had some spirited play under the hoop (great hustle), KG inched closer to a full recovery, and TA made what is becoming his patented late-game steal to clinch the win.

Can we give out an anti-cigar to Doc for missing 2 obvious (and I mean OBVIOUS) offense/defense substitutions down the stretch, and for continuing to overplay Ray Allen?
The leaks are real...the news is fake.

I'm just here for the memes.
