would you trade ray and giddens for AK47, Ronnie Brewer, Ronnie Price and New Yorks unprotected 1st rounder?
basically it gives us an athletic two, and versital sixth man that would fit well into our team, and the potential to pick up a player for the future with a lottery pick next year, which would currently be around the 8th pick
it allows the jazz to save some serious cash this year and going forward as well
i was just bored exploring some new ways to use ray ray in a trade rather than teh worn out maggette, ellis, butler, knicks, iggy angle

I would, Utah wouldn't. They aren't as desperate to get out of Kirilenko's contract as they once were. Even if you took out the first, I doubt they'd consider it.

I don't think it's great for either team, we get even thinner offensively and at the guard spots and utah gives up what'll probably be a very good pick in the deal. With the pick the Celtic's make out value wise but probably sets us back this year.

I don't want to lose Ray. That said, AK is a guy I think that would do well here. I know I am in the minority in liking him and I admit I pretty much only see him play twice a year but he usually impresses me.

no way to this trade, opens a gaping hole at SG, Ronnie Brewer may be 'althletic' but i doubts he starts for many other teams other than the Jazz. That is one reason the Jazz do so poorly against the Lakers.
IFwe are going to trade ray, we would have to do it to a team that has depth at the wings, say ray for martin and thomas from Sacramento, or Ray for Butler and Miller from Washington.

I wouldn't want to do this trade either. Our offense would really struggle because we'd lose our best offensive threat from outside.

Brewer is a solid starting SG, especially on the defensive end. He wouldn't be able to take over games like Ray sometimes, but he certainly wouldn't create a huge hole at SG. Plus, we can play several sets where Paul's the SG and AK's the SF.
Like I said earlier: I'd do it, Utah wouldn't, even if you took out the pick. They'd much rather move Boozer than AK.

The Celtics would not get more than AK47 for Ray.
No Brewer, no First. Such is life.
