ray trade idea...

Post#1 » by kakopedi1 » Mon Feb 8, 2010 1:24 pm

I know we've been here b4 concerning Wade but with Miami slowly creeping out of the playoff picture and Wade possibly leaving the Heat this summer....so how bout this....

To Boston Wade, Haslem, Chalmers, Jones and Arroyo
To Miami Ray, Rondo, Baby, TAllen and Giddens

Miami buys out ray allen and comes back to become the best 6th man in the nba.

I don't think I'd move Rondo for Wade. As good as he is, Wade would not be happy here having to share shots. He's not at that point in his career yet. He wants that max deal and would definitely be out of here at the end of the season. Rondo is probably untouchable for the Celtics FO anyway.

He wasn't untouchable last summer.

I do that in a flat second.

It's basically Ray + Rondo for Wade -- the rest is unimportant. I know everyone hates this, but it's just the same binky syndrome as when everyone objected to trading Al for KG.

Wade is a legit superstar. he would be the best player on our team by a solid margin (yes dr smith, even better than paul). i love rondo and all but when you have a chance at a top 5 nba player, especially one who's still fairly young, you go for it.

and i'm sure that any trade for wade would include an extension, much the way that we did for KG.

Well since we are dreaming and this does work in the trade checker and the scouts were in Boston.....

Martin to Boston
Al Jefferson to Boston

Ray to Sac

Nocioni to Minn
Perk to Minn

ps....there's your shake up if Danny could pull it off.

I didn't ever believe those trade rumors. Were they legit? I thought they were just to get Rondo encouraged to improve his game this past off season.
