Really interesting. I'd do that in a heartbeat. Suspect Chicago would too for the cap space and the ability to go after two max guys this summer. Wonder if Thomas is enough return for Sac.

Good work.

Boston would probably do it. Seems like an all right deal for Chicago but it's really unclear what they want for Hinrich... one day it's expiring contracts and the next day it's legitimate role players.

But I don't think Sacramento would agree to this. They continually say they're not moving Martin, which I assume means he's only available for a really good offer that gives them equal or greater value in their opinion. Jerome James and Tyrus Thomas probably aren't what they're looking for. The only way I think they'd take lesser value is if another team was in that somehow was finagled into giving up their lottery pick.

Thing is, Ray's an expiring and a role player that they could bring back next year and have said they would.

Sacramento would be the only question mark in this. Some of their fans say they'd give up Martin just for expirings, but some insist they want a big out of it as well. Thomas would be better than sending Davis over, I guess, but I still don't know if that's enough on their end.

Really interesting trade, I like it.
