CF - Beltran vs. Damon
RF - Green vs. Abreu right now Green

Bench
Chavez, Franco, Easley, Gomez vs. Cabrera, Phelps, Cairo, Mienkiewtz Id say this is a push.

Starting Pitching
1 - Glavine vs. Mussina
2 - Pedro vs. Clemens
3 - Maine vs. Wang
4 - Perez vs. Pettite
5 - Hernandez vs. Hughes Hughes
Also, Pettitte is the Yankees ace and Moose has to be considered the number 4 so I'm gonna go with Pettitte over Glavine and Moose over Perez, also I think Wang is better than Maine.
Bullpen
- Sosa vs. Bruney
- Schoenweis vs. Proctor
- Feliciano vs. Farnsworth
- Sanchez vs. Vizcaino
- Heilmanvs. Myers

Closer
Wagner vs. Rivera

As for the bullpen I agree

Let me rephrase my post.....Posada over Loduca
Delgado over Giambi, because Giambi can't play the field. (Mientkiewicz is the real 1B)
Cano at second.
Jeter at short. I'll take a guy that is going to end his career with 3,750 hits any day.
Arod at third. Best player in baseball
Matsui in Left
Beltran over Damon.
Right now, Green over Abreu. Abreu couldn't hit himself out of a shell.
I'd say the bench is a push
SP:
Pettitte
Clemens
Wang
Moose
Hughes
>>>>>
Glavine
Pedro
Maine
Perez
El Duque......am I wrong on this???

Bullpen is a push right now I believe.

Whos better? Probably the Mets, but when the Yankees get healthy and start to hit who knows? It may be too late to find out

PS Im a Yankees fan

I'm sorry but I don't know how anyone can call A Rod the best player in baseball. The most talented is may be a different story but I don't see how he is the best player in baseball.

Theres no sense in arguing with you people. Jeter and Posada are proven winners, as is Pettitte. Its not their fault the rest of the team outside of Arod is playing with their head so far up where the sun dont shine

How exactly is a catcher a "proven winner"? Because he played on a winning team? If so, Shane Spencer is the best OF in the history of the game.

Seriously come on, watch how they play the game, stop worrying so much about stats. they do little things to help the team win....ya know no one out a guy on second they will hit the ball to the right side to advance the runner. They have instincts that make them invaluable (Jeters flip play against Oakland). Do you know how many Red Sox fans I know living in CT that say they would take Jeter if they were starting a team from scratch?

EDIT: My bad, hit the wrong button. Didn't mean to mangle the post. Sorry.

ah, this guy still hangs on to his precious, antiquated stats like batting average. screw those new fangled ones that actually tell how much a player helps his team.

Do you know who Shane Spencer is? I'm not referring to stats...unless you consider "games won" a serious stat. If so, I feel sorry for your math teacher.

So, they do things that every baseball player is taught to do.

They have instincts that make them invaluable (Jeters flip play against Oakland).

The flip! Wait...THE FLIP!!!!! (it deserves caps and five exclamation points). Or, as it is better known as: The Greatest Outfield Assist Never.

Do you know how many Red Sox fans I know living in CT that say they would take Jeter if they were starting a team from scratch?

Bulls, bears, people from Connecticut.

Know how many blue-eyed people I know from Cheyenne, Wyoming that would take Albert Pujols? Like four.

Dude give me a shortstop you would rather have had on your team over the last ten years than Derek Jeter. Seriously, who? Arod...hes our third baseman. And honestly give me a catcher...the only one over the last ten years is Pudge Rodriguez.

ARod

Arod...hes our third baseman.

For some dumb reason.

And honestly give me a catcher...the only one over the last ten years is Pudge Rodriguez.

Pudge? Yeah. But also Piazza and Mauer.

I said over the last ten years BBallJesus, for that period of time. As an all around player by the way. Piazza hasn't been an above average catcher for some time now.

Jorge Posada just tied the game in the 8th on an RBI single, scoring Derek Jeter...just thought I'd throw that out there.
