Joel Zumaya VS Cla Merideth

Post#1 » by The Captain93 » Thu Apr 19, 2007 1:31 am

Who do you pick to be on your team out of the two?

Both are young, and have great skill and potential. Both have been great for their respective ball clubs.

I'm taking Meredith because I don't know. Maybe Zumaya will blow out his arm or something. I can definitely envision Meredith being more valuable, if infinitely less exciting. He doesn't let anything out of the infield and he doesn't walk anyone. This will lead to lots of success, and he'll rarely have that big inning.

**** you, Doug Mirabelli.

LMAO, another horrible trade made by the Sox... Meredith becomes a great setup man and Josh Bard is hitting cleanup in the Padres lineup

Bard has a .234 AVG, .290 OBP and .618 OPS. I haven't watched Padres games aside from when Peavy is pitching so I don't know whether he has been hitting cleanup; but it sure isn't because he is good. Josh Bard is terrible at baseball despite last years fluke 200 AB stint. Hell, he wasn't even good in the minor leagues.

It was a bad trade simply b/c Mirabelli sucks (but if needed due to Wakefield) and Meredith is a quality reliever, but try not to be so misleading about Josh Bard. He blows.
