Which player would you take in their prime?
EDIT: And heres another question, if Griffey was healthy, would he have had a chance to break the home run record?

Alex Rodriguez so easily.
OK, not easily, but I think A-Rod is still in his prime.

yes, if Griffey did not have injury problems he would have had a very legitimate chance at breaking the home run record...
this argument is a tough one though. Griffey in his prime was a great player but in this case I think you have to go with A-Rod over Griffey but the difference between the two is not much.

I would go with Griffey if he was healthy during his prime..
but he wasn't, so I'll go with Arod. One thing that is completely ridiculous is how durable Arod has been throughout his entire career.

I would take Griffey because of his stifling CF defense. And yes, we wouldn't even be talking about Bonds breaking the record as Griffey would be right there with him, he's also 2 years younger than Bonds.
It's VERY close though, and I would understand if someone picked A-rod, you really can't go wrong with either one..

Id take A-Rod. Just cuse Id put him at SS. But I think that Griffey is a better overall player.

I would take AROD if he was still playing SS.

Man this is probably one of the hardest questions to really answer, Griffey to me was the greatest player healthy. He was my favorite player, dealt with the media great. He had an amazing glove, swagger and everything but on the other hand A-Rod is probably the best player in the game...
Id go with Griffey though...

same here.. though im always biased to having a great defensive CFer over all positions even though SS is right there with it. i think its because there seems to be more above average defensive SS than CF and you see more SS who are there just for defense in CF where your guy usually has some pop in his bat. ie: rey ordonez couldnt hit a beachball but he was so incredibly good defensively that he was an every day player on some good met squads - on the flipside a guy like endy chavez has always been a superb fielder with great speed/range and a very strong arm as well, but he couldnt hit which is why he wasnt an everyday cf for a team, leading to his backup roll on mets.
