Yawn. The comparison is between Cano and Pedroia. Cano is out performing him. How is he over rated. His numbers show what he is. How is overrated? He will hit 15+ HR and drive in about 80 or 90 runs. That's a fact.

Quit hatin.

Greener Pastures created that thread. He's not altogether right in the head as you can probably tell by all his posts.

Yeah, that was not the general consensus of intelligent Red Sox fans when Pedroia was hitting .180 to start the season. Just the mouthbreather fans.

Yeah but his BABIP is above the league average, so there is no way he is a good hitter.

Cano is making a mockery of this thread
.315 13 HR 69 RBI .362 OBP .506 SLG, 34 2B, 67 R
v.s.
Pedroia
.325 5 HR 36 RBI .398 OBP .442 SLG, 24 2B, 52 R

Since the all-star break Cano is at .427, there isn't a ball he doesn't hit hard.

For poops and laughter:

2007 EqA

Polanco: .309
Pedroia: .305
Cano: .299

2007 WARP3

Cano: 10.7
Polanco: 9.6
Pedroia: 7.4

Not too bad for a 5

What do those numbers even mean?

And for the record Cano is less than a year older than Pedroia

I never said anything about Cano. Just pointing out how Lil' Slugger Pedroia is playing this season.

I do find it funny that the best player on the Red Sox and Yankees is the second baseman making the league minimum.

Well, if you remove A-Rod.

Dude, you just keep on making yourself look bad. Why am I an idiot? Mods, this guy brings nothing to the table on this board. The only place he brings any sort of decent stuff is the Mets board, seriously read any of his posts on any board here. Mets, no one takes you seriously because you do stuff like this to make yourself look bad.

Mets, keep the personal insults out of it. You're better than that.

do you know anything about baseball? seriously. do you? because i've yet to see you make one intelligent post about baseball on here. all i see from you is the same crap that's spewed on BBTN. you don't know anything about stats other than batting average, home runs and rbi's.

i could really care less if people i don't know nor care about take me seriously; you're just a yankee homer who knows nothing about baseball and it's annoying.

BBJ had this same conversation a few months ago, yet slightly more civilized and intelligent. I don't need to state my case for knowing stuff about baseball.

EDIT: No, after reading back on this post I will state my case. Sure, Pedroia and Cano could probably be compared through numbers. But if you watch the two play you can clearly see Cano is more talented. He has an effortless swing and can drive the ball on a line to all fields, his bat stays through the hitting zone so nicely and he keeps his hands inside the baseball. Pedroia on the other hands swings out of his butt every single time he is at the plate and the only balls he hits out of the ballpark are pitches left up and out over the plate.
